“Hello Hungry Guy in a Wheelchair members and today’s review is The Red Blazer Restaurant and Pub in Concord NH.. Rollin’ into The Red Blazer felt like I was pulling up to a five-star experience with wheels — and they did not disappoint. Let’s break it down… first with parking, Plenty of wheelchair van spots, clearly marked and right near the entrance. No wrestling with curbs or weird ramps — just easy, level access that says “Welcome in!”,Smooth entry, no awkward doors or tight turns. Once you’re Inside? It’s spacious and The atmosphere is cozy, colorful, and fun without feeling overdone. It’s got that mix of local charm and polished style that makes you want to hang out a while. Plenty of room to roll, pivot, and park without knocking into someone’s filet mignon. Now this is where Red Blazer shines. Our table had three waitresses tag-teaming like a championship squad — refills, check-ins, and good vibes nonstop. The manager even made the rounds like a true hospitality pro, checking on guests and staff alike. Class act. now for the star of the show the FOOD. Every plate came out looking like it belonged on a magazine cover. Hot, fresh, and cooked just right. Portion sizes were spot-on — enough to fill you, not knock you out cold. I ordered the Peanut Pub Burger, a bold move on the menu, and let me tell you, it pays off. This isn’t your average backyard burger. We’re talking about a juicy, hand-formed patty, grilled to perfection and stacked with flavor that’ll make your taste buds sit up and salute. But the real kicker? That peanut butter. Yup, you heard right. Creamy, melty peanut butter slathered right on the burger. Sounds crazy? Maybe. But bite into it and suddenly it makes perfect sense. The salty-sweet nuttiness blends with the savory beef like they were made for each other. It’s rich, it’s unexpected, and it’s absolutely addictive. Throw in crispy bacon, melted cheese, and a soft toasted bun that holds it all together without falling apart — and boom — you’ve got a burger that goes beyond comfort food and lands squarely in craveable innovation territory. My friend Anna Costa-Turner ordered The Blazer Beet Salad Now this salad didn’t come to play. We’re talking beautifully roasted beets — sweet, earthy, tender — laid over a bed of crisp greens with just the right mix of color and crunch. Tangy goat cheese crumbles added that creamy, zippy contrast, and the candied pecans? Chef’s kiss. The dressing (light vinaigrette with a citrusy pop) brought everything together without drowning the plate. Refreshing, elegant, and absolutely worth a forkful every time. It’s a salad that makes you want to eat your vegetables — and then some and finally for the main portion of lunch my mom got Chowder du Jour: The chowder of the day changes, but no matter what’s cookin’ — it’s comfort in a bowl. Mine was a creamy seafood chowder that could warm your soul on even the chilliest NH afternoon. Thick without being heavy, generous chunks of tender fish, clams, and potato, and that rich, seasoned broth that hits the spot. If they ever bottle it, I’m stocking up. The chowder was served piping hot with a side of perfectly toasted bread — ideal for dunking. Whether you start your meal with the salad, the chowder, or both (go ahead, treat yourself), you’re setting yourself up for a top-tier experience.. Don’t skip dessert. Seriously (if you do you are 1 of those people that are considered C.R.A.Z.Y. 🤣). The display case teases you, but once that plate hits the table? Pure art. And it doesn’t just look good — it tastes even better. I ordered the Crème Brûlée – Silky, Smoky, Sensational Crack that caramelized sugar top with the back of your spoon and you’ll hear that signature snap — music to a dessert lover’s ears. Underneath? A rich, vanilla-infused custard that’s smooth as velvet and served just right — cool, creamy, and luxurious. The flavor’s deep and pure, and the contrast between the warm, crispy shell and the chilled custard? Perfection. Elegant and classic, this one’s for the purists who know that simplicity, done right, is unbeatabl“

“I had the recent pleasure of going to Revival and it was just that: a revival of the senses. It started with the atmosphere, giving off a sense of approachable fine dining. A friend and I sat at the bar and Jeffery was the bartender. He was extremely knowledgeable about flavors and their complexities, knowing precisely how to blend his flavors. He created a custom mocktail for me with my dietary restrictions in mind. The drink was phenomenal and I felt like I was able to partake in the social aspect of drinking without the effects of the spirits. We ordered a cheese plate that was phenomenal, followed by the mushroom bisque. The bisque was everything it should be and more, it was creamy without being heavy and full of earthy savory umami goodness from the mushrooms. I ordered the seafood cassoulet which did not disappoint at all. It was surprisingly light considering it is a bean stew. The beans were in a lemony, leek and fennel stock, which was contributed to the lightness of the beans. When it came time for dessert my friend and I shared bites of heavenly goodness. She ordered the Baileys Crème Brûlée and I ordered the Brown Butter Carrot Cake. Both were phenomenal, not overly sweet just perfect balance. Jeffrey kept us entertained the entire time of our visit and even the chef came out at one point and it was just an overall fantastic experience, the other waiters and waitresses that came by also engaged in conversation and all of the staff was pleasurable that we came in contact with. 10/10 would recommend and I can’t wait to go back!“

“We went here with 3 kids, 5, 8, and 9 years old which can be a lot! The food was great, the bartender offered attentive and in tune service, the kid’s food came out first which meant the adults could enjoy our drinks and meals. Looks like awesome outside seating, and the bar was a great mix of sports, families, couples and fun. Definitely recommend 🙌🏻“

“RUN!!!! El Rodeo was an absolute nightmare. Despite advising us that Friday night reservations weren't possible, they suggested arriving at 5:30 pm for a 6:00 pm seating. We arrived as instructed, telling our guests to come at 6:15 pm. We're were told 20 minutes, then another 20 minutes, then another 20 mines. Our promised tables were repeatedly given away, and the three hostesses showed a complete lack of concern for the situation. When we asked to speak with the manager (or, rather, when they offered), he was equally dismissive and uncaring about our predicament. Our guests had traveled from out of state and across the state for this special occasion, which was ruined. The manager offered tables and booths for half our party but then seated other people there. After an hour and a half of waiting, we left. To add insult to injury, one of the twin hostesses was laughing and rolling her eyes. I would never recommend this place unless you want to be disappointed.“

“Affordably priced homestyle cooking. They have special pricing for seniors and children. Service is fast and friendly. I have become a regular because of the great service, good food and very fair pricing. And there are lots of "regulars" who eat their and become like extended family and friends.“

“Good smoothies, but they advertise as a one size 16oz and give you a 12oz cup. The worker said it's different for smoothies and you only get a 12oz cup. Misleading and false advertisement.“
“I went here with very low expectations, based on online reviews and was shocked at how wrong they were. The owners have made some great improvements to the place. The carpets are a little stained and the pool tables are a little worn, but the bar is bright and clean. The ladies room was super clean and smelled great. Good selection of domestic and craft beer. There’s a jukebox where you can play music. Plenty of tables, as well as a punching bag game and an air hockey table. I liked it a lot and will definitely go back again!“

“Hello and welcome to another Hungry Guy in a Wheelchair Review! Today’s review is Tucker's in Concord, NH, a popular breakfast-and-lunch spot with a loyal crowd and I found out why. First, let’s talk accessibility: Very busy place. Only one handicap parking spot, but it’s close to the door and has a solid ramp and wide entrance for smooth rolling in. The staff was helpful and pleasant, but finding a wheelchair-accessible table for our party of three took some work — we actually had to ask seated guests to switch tables. Because of that, I’d say it’s not ideal for wheelchair users during peak hours. Once we were settled, though? The food was fantastic! Healthy and hearty with big flavors and fresh ingredients. I had the Caprese Salad and the West Coast Club… The Caprese Salad was bright, fresh, and loaded with juicy tomatoes, mozzarella, fresh basil, and a perfect drizzle of balsamic. The West Coast Club was stacked high with turkey, bacon, avocado, lettuce, and tomato — served on toasted bread. A satisfying mix of creamy, smoky, and fresh. My mom went for a Veggie Caprese on Sourdough.. A twist on the Caprese with roasted veggies — hearty and flavorful — plus that crusty sourdough really made it shine. My friend Anna Costa-Turner got the Summer Salad and Street Corn Soup The Summer Salad was a burst of color fresh greens, berries, nuts, and cheese, perfectly dressed. The Street Corn Soup was creamy, sweet, and a little smoky — comfort food in a cup. Overall, Tuckers gets an outstanding 9.7/10 📝 Final Thoughts: Tucker’s is a bustling spot with a fresh, wholesome menu. While the accessibility setup works, the limited handicap parking and table availability during peak hours can make things tricky for wheelchair users. That said, the friendly staff and fantastic food make it worth visiting — just try to go at an off-peak time. Great flavors, healthy options, and a welcoming atmosphere. Accessibility is decent but not perfect during busy hours. Till next bite, Hungry Guy in a Wheelchair #TuckersConcordNH #WheelchairFriendlyEats #RollinAndSnackin #HealthyAndHearty #CapreseGoals #ClubSandwichLove“

“I ordered take out so couldn't give 5 stars on atmosphere. But the person at register was very nice and honest. I accidentelly gave $20 extra on an order under $20. Many host/cashiers aren't as honest. I also was pleasantly surprised at the amount of food in my order. I moved out of state from north of Concord but from now on when I visit I will get my Chinese food at Man Yee!“

“Some of the best Asian food I have ever had. I cannot wait to return. Staff is super friendly and food was ordered and arrived quickly, piping hot. Atmosphere is calming and definitely a great place for a meal and some conversation with friends or your SO. My fiancee and I had the steamed dumplings, which tasted amazing. I got the sweet and sour chicken which was some of the best I've ever had, and he ordered a noodle dish and sushi, which was so filling we brought home the rest and finished it the next day. “I have eaten at Chen Yang Li a few dozen times in the past back when I lived in the area. But honestly, it's been years. I have been traveling around the world working in different countries and states. As I was looking for a new local favorite Asian restaurant today - I remembered Chen Yang Li. I always remember it - when I find my latest in-town 'wherever I am' Asian restaurant. It has set the bar for me across dozens of towns in several countries. Best pork fried rice and spring rolls that I can remember anywhere.“

“I was there tonight and it was a lot going on. My pizza took longer than expected, but I could tell they were short on staff and doing their best. I’ve worked in kitchens before, so I know how stressful it can get. I didn’t say anything, I just waited for it. When I finally got my order, it was actually one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. Totally worth the wait. Despite how hectic it was, the staff were super polite and friendly. Really appreciated that“

“This used to be one of my favorite spots, however the last few times we have been were extremely disappointing. The last 2 times we went we ordered a filet and got sirloin, and not even good sirloin. It was chewy and gristly, and tonight, had absolutely no flavor at all. The service has also gone down hill. It used to be amazing, and now we will likely not go back. What changed???“

“After an exhilarating autumn day spent admiring the foliage at Mountain Major, our group of eight Taiwanese friends found ourselves famished and in need of respite. Fortune smiled upon us as we discovered New Happy Family Chinese restaurant at 943 Suncook Valley Hwy S, Epsom, NH 03234.
The menu boasted an array of tempting dishes, and we weren't disappointed. The Orange Chicken ($13) was a testament to authenticity, striking the perfect balance of tangy and sweet. The Mongolian Beef ($15) was a savory delight, its tender slices of beef complemented by crisp vegetables.
A standout was the Vegetable Egg Foo Young, which transported me back to the bustling street stands of my hometown. The Chinese eggplant with garlic sauce was a masterpiece, cooked to perfection with a harmonious blend of flavors.
What impressed us most were the generous portion sizes. Each dish could easily satisfy even the heartiest appetites, making the prices incredibly reasonable. The warm ambiance and attentive service added to our overall positive experience.
New Happy Family has certainly earned a spot on our Google favorites list. Without a doubt, we'll be returning to this hidden gem whenever we find ourselves in Epsom, craving a taste of home-style Chinese cuisine.“
