My wife and I recently moved into town and were looking for a new breakfast spot. We visited Friendly Diner and couldn’t be happier with the service and quality of food. The portions are large, and everything was made fast and cooked perfectly. The French toast and home fries were excellent - as was the pumpkin iced coffee. The staff there were super friendly, and we’re glad to say we have a new go-to right down the street from our apartment. Would highly recommend!

My friend and I found this wonderful place while out antiquing. The food was amazing and the staff were wonderful. I have eaten at many breakfast restaurants, this was by far the best! The veggie Benedict was delicious. Fresh asparagus, spinach and tomato. The baked beans were so good! I will be back to try lunch and dinner. Well worth traveling a half hour for! Also a bakery that is hard to resist!

Friendly Casual dining at its best! First visit this evening for dinner with 6 friends. Was a bit busy but no wait. And the staff over the top pleasant and helpful made it even better, but not outdone by the food. All of the dishes look great and everyone in our party was so pleased with their tasty selection. Will definitely be back and will try breakfast as the bakery counter looks fabulous.

Reuben sandwich was delicious, and the strawberry shortcake made with biscuits and plenty of whipped cream was divine! A new England classic! The service was indeed friendly: attentive, but never annoying. Not only were they accommodating to our requests, but they also made great suggestions! We want to go back! We need to try more desserts, they looked amazing!

We went for breakfast, my wife got the spinach and feta omlet, I got two eggs over easy with wheat toast, bacon, and home fries. Oddly, everything on the plate tasted roughly the same. The eggs, home fries, and bacon lacked seasoning. The bacon was rubbery and bland. The toast was good. The coffee was average. Prices were decent.
Dietary restrictions: They were out of gluten-free bread.
Wheelchair accessibility: I would have had a really hard time with my wheelchair

We were here at 1 on a Sunday. Offering eggs, meats, pancakes, and pastries and muffins, on breakfast menu, also a lunch menu. Also offering beer, and wine, very pleasant inside, everything bright and airy and comfortable. Food tasty. Lunch plates coming from kitchen looked good. Coffee fresh. Update: good dinner too.
Bonus for us- no music blaring. We could talk across table easily, and simply be present for the meal. We appreciate that.
