“I don’t know Dave. I know nothing of his life. I don’t know if he ever loved. If he was ever loved himself. I don’t know his pain, Or how many sleepless nights he had wide awake just pondering his place in the universe. I don’t know the curves of his body, or the edges of his wildest dreams. I don’t know how many times he said “I don’t care if you think my chickens too hot DAD I know there’s a place for my Caliente Poule!” I wish I did but I simply don’t know his family or friends and just how deeply he impacted their lives. If he made them laugh, or cry. Vacations spent making memories. I don’t know any of that. I don’t know how he lived or how he died.
But I know his chicken.
And it was pretty good“
