I have had sushi in many states and many different locations and this one is by FAR the best I have ever had EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Not only is the sushi high quality, it is delicious, plated BEAUTIFULLY, and they have my FAVORITE sauce ever!! We generally come here weekly to monthly for the last 4 years!

Michelle has worked tirelessly for over a decade to bring you the best sushi she knows. She's raised her family (husband included) to run this place. True, the warmth of her sons and husband could improve, as well as the atmosphere, but she rules with the strength of the octopus and the attitude of the Dolphin, oops, tuna? You get it!

The one thing I can always count on here is consistency and attention to detail. I've been going here for years for both dine-in and take-out and have tried many menu items and my order has NEVER been wrong. Staff is attentive. The space is plain and clean, I just wish there was some fun art or lighting to jazz it up more.

When I walked in here, my gut said to turn back around and leave. But my husband wanted to give it a shot. The hostess was not friendly nor happy to be there. Our server was a little bit more friendly. We were seated right behind the office, with deet bug spray right in the window facing us. They could really use curtains in the office to separate it.

The chairs were a disaster. Vinyl or pleather that was disintegrating. All the tiny black pieces got stuck all over my kids’ clothes, arms, and legs. The bathroom was filthy, and the fluorescent light in the hallway was blinking/strobing so badly it felt like a horror movie. The entire restaurant could have a much better feel with a fresh coat of paint, some new chairs, and some scrubbing. To me, it says they don’t take any pride in their establishment. And I wondered if it’s this dirty in the bathroom and seating area, how dirty is the kitchen?!

The food was okay. We got hibachi steak. The miso soup was good, and the salad was surprisingly fresh - mixed greens/romaine rather than iceberg lettuce. I was also impressed to see ceramic bowls and spoons, not plastic!

I wouldn’t be in any rush to return.

We had an excellent experience at Domo. We had the edamame, gyoza, veggie tempura, hibachi plate and pork katsu and everything was delicious. The service was outstanding. Fast, efficient and kind. We have ordered takeout from Domo before and this was our first time dining in - we will be back!

The chicken teryaki lunch boxes are great- so much food for a reasonable price! Always very quiet inside the restaurant and a nice Portsmouth street view!
