We've eaten at Paddy's a number of times, and have always had a really good meal. This last time left a lot to be desired. My meal was clearly (to me) cooked by someone other than the person who'd prepared our most recent lunches. I had the Smokehouse Turkey Panini, which I've had numerous times there because it's so good. This time, not so much. The cheese on that sandwich was not at all what I'd gotten each time in the past. Service was excellent, the waitress (Jada) was very attentive and checked in at the right time. The food was better than we expected when we pulled into the parking lot - we were shopping in Portsmouth on a very rainy December day and needed to find food. We would not have gone if we knew it was in a hotel, but we were desperate at that point. We were very pleasantly surprised! Food was pretty good... always is. Service not so great. I don't need a mom telling me when I need a water. Honestly it was rude. Didn't offer me a drink but water after 2 beers. Then left us alone for an hour... Will I return? Yes probably. Because it's local and has great food. Will that waitress be there? 9/10 says no. The service switches over every 3-4 months you never get the same people and that's weird to me... but the food is solid.
