About Hometown Diner

Hometown Diner is a classic Silk City Diner with a standard counter and booth seating, along with additional tables in the rear. The menu is simple but efficient, allowing orders to leave the kitchen quickly. Customers often praise the friendly staff who go above and beyond to make everyone feel welcomed, and they frequently accommodate special requests. The diner is known for its delicious bacon, cooked to perfection, and its lively atmosphere, where staff seem to know many of the regulars. Visitors also enjoy the quick and attentive service, with food arriving hot and fresh. The diner offers ample parking and a spacious interior, making it a great spot for breakfast and lunch. Popular items include the eggs benedict classic, chicken fried steak and eggs, burgers, and the sweet banana french toast topped with bananas foster sauce and whipped cream. Though the portions are small compared to other diners, prices remain reasonable, and the overall experience is quick, satisfying, and friendly. The mini juke boxes at each booth add a fun touch to the lively environment.

Weird vibe! We entered at about 11:30 on a Saturday. No booths available in the front section but two parties were obviously finishing up so we waited. Not once did the staff (lots of them around) even make eye contact, let alone say hello, welcome, it’ll be a minute, etc.
Maybe they’re friendlier to their regulars. We’ll never know. We left.
I was really hankering for breakfast. Instead, we’re at Emma’s for lunch.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ food and service are exceptional. A favorite!
17 people in my family showed up unannounced and the entire staff could not have been more accommodating. Food was fantastic and the waitress was great!

Love getting breakfast here, always busy but they are quick to get you seated. Also, their onion rings are delicious.
