“Warm, relaxing environment. Music was nice. Upbeat and friendly servers. Mocktail options that were quite yummy. The fish from the fish and chips was moist and flakey.... just as it should be. The French fries were good. The coleslaw was mild and I actually enjoyed it. I usually prefer malted vinegar coleslaw without Mayo. However, this coleslaw is definitely worth a try... even if coleslaw is not your thing.I stopped by for a quick bite and only ate half. Looking forward to fish and chips later for dinner;) Will definitely be back with my family. Next time I'll opt for the fried fish sandwich on brioche bread.”

“My wife and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE COMING HERE! We live 2 hours away and we make it an annual destination for breakfast or lunch when we're on our way to Jaffrey to visit a friend of ours. We've been to many diners over the years and the Hometown Diner doesn't disappoint! The staff was very friendly and personable as we entered. It was lunch time and all the booths in the front of the diner were taken but we were immediately offered seats at the counter or a table in a back room .of the diner. We chose the back room. I ordered the turkey dinner from the menu. My wife had an urge for a bacon,lettuce, and tomato sandwich which wasn't on the menu. Our waitress came to take our order and when asked about the possibility of getting a BLT for my wife, she absolutely had no problem in honoring my wife's request! Despite the busy lunch hour, our food was brought to our table within 10-15 minutes which was OUTSTANDING! My turkey dinner was good and very satisfying! My wife enjoyed her BLT as well as the French fries that came with it. We truly enjoyed our "diner" experience... the great staff, the great diner atmosphere and the food! Our waitress went above and beyond in making us feel welcomed and happy with our service and our meals! Although we visit once a year, we truly enjoy this gem of a diner and we're looking forward to our visit next year!”

I've never had a bad experience and don't think I ever will.Whether it be you get a Sloppy Mac, Landfill, Pastawich, Inferno or even one of the poutine variations you'll be hooked after one bite!The menu isnt for everyone, but thats fine with me. “Definitely make reservations. We went for an early dinner so we could enjoy some quiet before the dinner rush. The staff was kind. It seemed as though our waitress was spread thin going between the bar and dining area though as it took some time to get our check after we had finished and our table had already been cleared. Other than needing more staff to help the core staff this place is amazing. The food was on point I had a garden salad with a classic ranch along with the 8oz. Filet with mashed potatoes and the veggies of the day was asparagus. I also tried a specialty drink called the wood bound kiss. It was very tasty. I could have had another. My husband had the French onion soup and Bolognese. He stated how fresh the pasta was. The bread that was provided was amazing along with the seasoned butters along side. Herbs or cinnamon were the choices this evening.big tips to the bus boy as he was very attentive and on top of clearing the table. The environment was beautiful and rustic modern. They had seating for small and large groups and were handicap accessible. We will for sure be returning and hopefully bringing others with us to enjoy in the future.Parking: Park right in front of the Inn check in.”

“I would give La Piñata Mexican Grill in Jaffrey, NH 10 stars if I could. My husband and I ordered the Cadillac Marguerites, Verde & Chipotle Chicken Enchiladas. They were outstanding. The chicken was tender and flavorful, the Mexican rice was perfect, and the refried beans were made from scratch, not out of a can. The décor was colorful and fun and the Mexican music was festive. The restaurant was immaculate and the service was superb! A fabulous restaurant.”

Great food selection, awesome beers on tap, and there is always something going on weekly, like trivia and music. “The Bantam Grill is hands down one of the best (if not the best) restaurant that I’ve been to in New Hampshire! This cozy, unassuming Italian/American eatery feels like the perfect combination of upscale restaurant and local pub, with extremely polite and friendly waitstaff, as well as a bartender who should be working in NYC at an upscale cocktail lounge, because the two drinks that we had were unlike anything my palette had ever tasted before. The buffalo cauliflower appetizer almost had me fooled it was a vegetable, and the house-made raviolis melted in my mouth so well I swore I was in Italy. I will definitely be recommending the Bantam Grill to anyone looking for food in the Southern NH area, never mind Petersborough, this place is worth the TRIP!”

“I saw some good reviews online, so my wife and I decided to give it a try. Wow! I could not believe how good the food was. They actually hand battered their chicken fingers for my chicken finger sub. It was amazing! My wife got the cheese steak and it was one of the best she has had in a long time.Although this place is old, it is very clean. There was one woman working both the sub shop and the convenience store, but she had no problems and was a pleasure to talk to.This place has a little of everything. Ice cream, convenience store, and pizza and sub shop.I will definitely be going back to try the pizza.”

“We went their today for my birthday lunch. We had never been before, so we decided to give it a try.We had the bacon blue burger with fries and the steak salad.The burger was very good. The steak sald was super great. The food was brought out quickly.We had the desert special of the day, a raspberry cheese cake. It was nice and tasty.They have a great selection of beer. We had a porter and a stout. Both beers were suggested by the bar tender. Our food and drinks for lunch were top notch and our Server Kelsey was amazing, she was very friendly, personable, attentive and made our experience even better. Kids options were awesome delicious and big portions, flatbreads and appetizers delicious again great portions. Burgers are awesome as we've tried those on a previous visit.
