Great food selection, awesome beers on tap, and there is always something going on weekly, like trivia and music. “I saw some good reviews online, so my wife and I decided to give it a try. Wow! I could not believe how good the food was. They actually hand battered their chicken fingers for my chicken finger sub. It was amazing! My wife got the cheese steak and it was one of the best she has had in a long time.Although this place is old, it is very clean. There was one woman working both the sub shop and the convenience store, but she had no problems and was a pleasure to talk to.This place has a little of everything. Ice cream, convenience store, and pizza and sub shop.I will definitely be going back to try the pizza.”

“I recently moved to Gardner and do not know the area very well. After trying several other Chinese restaurants in the area with MUCH dissatisfaction, I was beginning to think that there just aren’t any good Chinese restaurants in this area. The food was just so basic and bland. After giving in to a craving for Chinese food, I tried yet another, however, the outcome was very different! Last night, I ordered for delivery, everything was right! Delivery person had an amazing attitude and was super pleasant, food was everything I was wanting! This place clearly takes pride in the food they serve, there were flavors and spices (not spicy) that were unexpected yet absolutely delicious! I will absolutely be returning to this one! ?”

“Nice, locally owned pizza (and more!) spot. Short walk from Cushing Academy, we've dined in and had take out. Pizza is very good as are calzones. Baked ziti and the meatballs have been good also. Worth a stop in a town with few stops!”

“Went there today about 4 the girl at the window was the sweetest I have ever met she noticed I was very upset and did sometimes so sweet to try and make me feel better I didn’t have the courage to tell her the truth but it made my day as it was the only good thing that happened during that time and it ment so much to me…. “If you want the best breakfast in leominster, come here. I had heard lots of great things about this place from people who lived in leominster much longer than me and my fiance and I decided to get takeout breakfast from here on mother's day. The food was made quick despite it being packed. I probably have never had such great French toast in my life. I got the stuffed french toast with Nutella, strawberry, and banana. I tend to eat all my food but the portions here are huge and definitely worth the money. The only downside of this place is the Parking situation, not enough to knock it below five stars but just something to be aware of. There is a tiny parking lot attached to the building that's always full and there's plenty of parking on the road across the street. The problem with parking on the road across the street is it's a very busy road and people tend to speed on it so it can be hard to cross the street to get to the restaurant.”

I've done take out many times because food is really good, a bit more on price than your average sandwich restaurant. They do boost authentic ingredients, so maybe the reason. The owner and staff are very pleasant. Only thing I'd say about my first dining experience was after waiting for the food, I was disappointed with the soups temperature, too cold and the sandwich was way too cold as if it just got from the fridge. I'd go back for sure because their takeout has never been disappointed. Great cookies, too!”

“The food was excellent. My spouse had the homemade meatloaf - delicious - I had the broc cheddar soup with half chicken salad sandwich. Chicken was delightful and the soup had fresh broccoli cooked to perfection. Tuna salad also flavorful and well prepared.”

“We just went there this past Sunday for Easter. Made reservations for four had no problems. I did call back to add two more but they had no more reservations. They did offer to sit the extra at our table but my Husband and I thought it be to crowded. We got there just before our reservation and we were seated right away. Our server John came right over took our drink order got them and then to the orders. We all enjoyed our meals and appetizers every thing came to the table hot and delicious. This was all due to John our server number one and the food runners staying ahead of the orders. Good Food, Fair Price, Great service and friendly service we could not have asked for more. “Typical Silk City Diner with standard counter and booth seating with additional table seating in the rear. Very limited but adequate breakfast and lunch menu which ensures your orders will leave the kitchen in record time. Excellent service, good prices and very good food. I didn't order from the breakfast menu but saw several items pass the table; it all appeared to be very creditable New England breakfast fare. Would recommend this breakfast and lunch stop if you find yourself in the area. You can be in, out and on your way in a flash, even if it is very busy.”

“Wife and I had some of the best prime rib tonight! Was absolutely super tasty! Always add gravy to the mashed! Tonight’s Brussel Sprouts were on point! Service is great as always, they all move as fast as they can go for sure! Super busy as always on a Saturday night with a line out the door when we left. Arrived at 4:30 and was told 20 min wait and only waited 11 min.”

“Firehouse burger. I came back next week to verify. Both burgers had exceptionally toasted burger that tasted great at every bite. I choose medium. The jalapenos were individually breaded and fried and complemented the burger, which also had good lettuce and good tomato. The sauce was great and each bite hit the pallet dynamically. It wasnt spicy, it had the depth of a tavern burger and the bread of the bun was done properly. The toppings complimented and added the top to the flavor. The French fries were very toasty and all hot and delicious like you would get from checkers yet just a bit better. The onion rings are the thin onion ring bits which are good with the burger or dipped in the drippings. The reason I lowered the service is because the first time I asked for a side of mayo and didnt recieve it for the french fries. I like to put a lot of cracked black pepper in mayo and eat it with fries. Then the second time I visited I asked for a side of the bang bang sauce for the fries and talked about it three times, then I recieved the Asian sauce for the shrimp, not the burger sauce and something that one would recommend for onion rings or fries. Great tavern burger. I read it had only one review on Yelp for 3/5 and the customer critiqued the grease and the overall heat of the burger, they clearly dont know what they are talking about but if they want that kind of heat there is a pizza oven in reading that stone fires pizzas with whole toasted jalapenos on them. Great tavern burger !”

“I had ordered the Miso Ramen as take out before and it was ok but I think part of the experience is lost when doing take out. I'm really glad we chose to visit tonight for dinner because I was very impressed. My husband and kids got the Fried Chicken Ramen and I got the Veggie Ramen and everything was really yummy. Restaurant was clean, staff was friendly, decor was fun and interesting. The dining area is small but I highly recommend checking this place out and dining in if possible!”

“Insanely fresh and delicious food, authentic. The flavors brought tears of joy to my eyes. There were Smiling and laughing employees who were all bilingual. I gotta say it was the most happy dining experience I've ever had! Then again, maybe it was the 72yo tequila?Parking: Plenty of parking in back on the parallel street. From there you need to walk up a few short flight of stairs.”
