“We had the $10. burger special with choice of fries. It was great. They were busy with only one server, but it went very smoothly with teamwork. A potential guest decided she could make her own parking spot at the front door and was asked by another guest not to park there. Instead of helping her elderly mother into the restaurant and then moving her car, she got angry, moved her car and then dragged her mother into the restaurant. She wanted to be seated in a closed section, which she was told she could not. She was belligerent and privileged. She blamed everyone else for her problems and blamed it on prejudice because of her NY plates...that no one could see. The food and service were great, the floor show was a bonus.”

“Came here for a girls overnight getaway and dined here. Loved the ambiance of the wine cellar (bring a sweater-its chilly down there! Menu is seasonal and slim, but literally everything was delicious, especially the scallop dish! Waitstaff was short staffed and a little curt, but everything else was delightful.”

“Staying at the Beal House this weekend and just had the most delicious meal at the tavern. Milk bread for an appetizer (delicious homemade rolls), a filet with roasted potatoes and carrots for my boyfriend and a chicken pot pie for me. Absolutely deliciously prepared and very flavorful! We sat at the bar and our bartender was fantastic. She was professional, friendly, attentive, and accommodating. The Beal House is a must-go place to eat and stay!”

Village lies a sweet haven most enchanting - the Mini Doe-nut Factory! There I did partake of hot cocoa rich and coffee bold, companions most worthy to the crown jewel: their wondrous mini doe-nuts, golden and fair. Each bite was as though sugar sprites themselves had danced upon my tongue, leaving delight in their wake. Though the cost be not small, the joy was great, and such pleasures are treasures most rare. With cheer in my heart and warmth in my hands, I shall remember this stop with fondest mirth and gladly commend it to all travelers who pass through this festive land.”

“Arrived late Friday night and could only imagine what the view would be like in the morning. Slept with the balcony sliders open and fell into a deep sleep to the sounds of the ammonoosuc river gently rolling. The room was comfortable and well appointed. Morning found me well rested and waking to a glorious sunrise on the first day of autumn in all the glory. Breakfast was amazing on the river. Short walk after on pierce bridge for yet another amazing view. Our event was at eleven across 302 on the river road so we spent as much time as we could at the inn. Highly recommend and reserve early the place is sold out and for good reason. I hope to travel this way again and remain here for a longer stay there is much of heaven to explore in there parts!”
