“I have been ordering here for a very long time. Their food is consistently delicious. I try to order something different every time, and to that end they give me suggestions. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Their food is delicious and their staff is always Courteous. I cannot recommend this place highly enough! Even the wonton soup is delicious! “Love ordering from this place! You get free appetizer item if you pay cash. Really only for take away or delivery don’t think there’s much in dining. I’ve been getting delivery for almost 15 years now. But staff nice. They forgot our edamame once n drove back out to drop off. The sushi n bento boxes are really good n fresh. Thai good n best spring rolls ever. Little pricey but good quality. Haven’t tried much of Chinese menu they have.“

“This is the only place I feel safe ordering in from as someone with food allergies. I have a dairy and gluten allergy and they are so accommodating with the dishes. You get big portions for a good price and the food is always so fresh. I also have a super stomach with some problems so I always feel icky eating out and since the food is cooked in high quality oil I never feel icky after eating here which is SO rare for me. The owner is incredibly kind and told me how she also has food allergies and is happy to make modifications and help. It’s so rare that restaurants welcome modifications and she always does so for me. I’ve never gotten sick here and it’s the one restaurant I feel comfortable ordering in from and look forward to doing so every week. The entire staff is helpful and are always kind and respectful even when the phone is ringing like crazy and there’s a line for pick up. They never rush you and always make you feel welcome. A local gem- thank you to the incredibly owner for giving us allergy people a safe place with delicious food and for accommodating me with a smile. I appreciate you so much. “This place has been my go-to Chinese spot to get food from the foods pretty good the service there is great the ladies that take your order are very sweet very genuine and they always make you laugh. Me and my family have been ordering here for I don't know how long but it's our go-to spot, the food portions are good and the prices for most things are fair.“

“A small takeout Chinese eatery with a fairly standard menu selection bearing high average prices. Hong Kong Express serves americanized Chinese fare. Set in a small strip mall, there seems to be adequate parking. Upon entering, the first impression is clean. Featuring newer furnishings, decor and construction. As a child took my order and payment, this is clearly a family business.
So I've only had one dish at this place. I can say for freshness of ingredients, it's excellent. For amount of meat added, average. Unfortunately my dish was extremely bland. I had to add 7 packets of various sauce and that was still not enough. As I make this dish at home, the main sauce is soy. I wish I had grabbed more.
Speaking of sauce, no sauce, forks, chopsticks or napkins were added or offered. I'm glad I checked and added on my own.
This business succeeds in 2 major ways most other Chinese places don't (freshness and cleanliness). I hope I just caught an off dish. I'd return, but until I had a better dish, I wouldn't recommend.“

If you order on their website it is a 3rd party that delivers and charges add’l delivery fees. It happened to me a few weeks ago and when I called the restaurant they explained what’s been happening. “Authentic Chinese food at a reasonable price. Water and tea are self-serving. We ordered Sweet & Sour Pork Chop, Seafood Rice Cakes and Mapo Tofu with pork, all were delicious. Will try something different next time.

Parking: Tuesday around 1pm, plenty of parking.“

“Surprising we hadn’t tried this place all these years living here as it was a lovely lunch we recently had.

Famous Freddy served us and treated us like long lost friends even though it was our first time. Table service is nice with tablecloths and a nice decor. Our special requests were accommodated and Freddy regaled us with lively conversation.

We enjoyed the cold sesame noodles, the sauce a little on the loose side for my taste but it was fine otherwise. Vegetable Lo Mein was as expected and the General Tso’s tofu was also very good. I prefer a different style for the sauce(darker/spicier) and tofu(firm ripped pieces vs soft cubes) but I’ve had this style before as well and it’s fine.

Addl hot sauce was provided and overall we enjoyed the meal.“

“The only negative I have (and it’s a big one and has happened 4-5 times now), I order no onion in my pepper steak and they add a $2 extra meat fee. I didn’t ask for extra meat to compensate for lack of veggies , and I don’t like it added without it being acknowledged or even approved/denied.. really not okay with that decision being made without my knowledge of it and will say something next time..

However when it comes to the food? Do it. Our usual orders are a some kind of mix of chicken&broccoli, pepper steak, boneless ribs, sesame chicken, fried wontons… everything has been great every time. One of the “better “ meats when it comes to both the chicken and the beef.. delivery is uncomfortably fast at times lol. Prices are average to anywhere else around here but the portions are great. Would definitely reccomend.“

“Best lo mein in the area. I get mine with roast pork. This was my secondary place after House of Chong, also in Middletown, which has unfortunately been lacking lately. Tai Hing just moved up to number one. They are cleverly closed on Tuesdays instead of Mondays, since so many restaurants are closed then. The prices are also really fair and a good value. Either is the one across the street, which we ordered the day before and we’re extremely disappointed to the point that we wanted Chinese again the following night and we chose Golden Jade. Flat-out great food here and I knew it because it’s family run and everyone was friendly. You can tell they take pride in their cooking. We had fried dumplings which would great - they give you 8 and my only critique is they need more filling but the taste is great. The house lomein and house fried rice were outstanding. Fresh and not over sauced. The chicken and broccoli and the general tso chicken were what you expect in the taste department and we’re done very well. Their egg rolls were tasty. The highlight though was the boneless spareribs. So many places get this wrong - these were the best I’ve had in the area even topping my usual place. They had the right amount of glaze, weren’t tough and were made completely using rib meat. Sweet, salty, and easy to chew. This place didn’t disappoint and if it’s a battle between Golden Jade or the one across the street in the junction, Golden Jade is easily the winner.“

“This is my favorite American-Chinese takeout spot in NJ! The owners are very nice, the food comes out quick, and the quality is good. I've tried other Chinese takeout places in the area, and China Wok is the only one that I've been satisfied with. I love their Crab Rangoon and like to get Beef Chow Fun. It's very rare that I've ordered anything that I don't have to add anything to salt or pepper soy sauce duck sauce that type of things, but I haven't had to add anything to enhance the flavor of their food everything I've ordered from there has been just perfectly delicious!!! The one dish that I've absolutely fell in love with is there shrimp noodle soup! It's packed with noodles and they're not stingy with the shrimp! And the gravy that comes with their Egg Foo Young is exquisite. I've decided that every time I order (and mind you I really don't like to experiment when it comes to food) but I'm going to try at least one thing that I have never tried before. So far I've had the house special fried rice, the house special lo mein, the house special egg foo young, the chicken noodle soup, the egg drop wonton mix soup and again I'm going to mention the shrimp noodle soup. The rice is perfectly done that comes with the egg foo young. Anyway I just want it to get my opinion on what I think is great takeout. One day soon I'm going to actually go and dine in. “Big props to Ming Hui Chinese Take Out. It's the best Chinese food restaurant in Perth Amboy. I had a Chinese themed party this past Sunday at a rental hall . They DELIVERED!!! - on ALL LEVELS. Not sure if they've ever done an order this large at one time, but they did an excellent job. They prepared enough food to feed 150+ . I asked to have it delivered at 2:30, they were there at 2pm. Everything I asked them to prepare was on POINT, ON TIME, AN DELICIOUS. I ordered broccoli in brown sauce - made perfectly, pepper steak, boneless spare ribs, chicken lomein, general tso chicken, vegetable-white-pork fried rice. It was so fresh and flavorful. All my guests enjoyed all the food they prepared. Highly recommended . Let's not forget great customer service!“
