“Such a beautiful location! The one in Red Bank as well. I went in to pick up my 2 day fasting cleanse. A young lady greeted me with a genuine welcoming smile. She was knowledgeable and informative. I decided to get a hot latte. A gentleman walked over to me and handed it to me! He didn't stand at the counter and say, your order is ready. This customer service was top tier! Oh, and the juices ARE SPECTACULAR, LIKE REALLY GOOD!!!!“

“I visited The Herd Juicery and was totally impressed. They have refreshing fruit bowls and juices, and they serve hot meals that are gluten-free and plant-based. For anyone who has celiac disease or gluten sensitivity, it's nice not having to worry about gluten cross contamination. The food was fresh and absolutely delicious. Even my husband loved his bowl and felt full afterwards without needing to take a nap. The smoothie bowls were a perfect guilt free desert!“

“Vegan or not, it’s worth checking out this cute spot. We ordered the porkroll egg and cheese sandwich, the buffalo tempeh mac and cheese, the bacon, hashbrowns, french toast sticks, and a cold brew. As some other reviews mentioned, they did change some items on their new menu but there was still a good variety. I felt that they did a good job recreating typically non-vegan dishes. Our favorites were the Buffalo Mac and cheese (really good) and the French toast sticks. The worker running the food out to us was very kind and attentive (blonde hair, dark makeup). I didn’t feel that we had to wait long for our order. The decor is very fun and themed. They were out of a few things we had inquired about, but we aren’t nit-picky. I would come here again but would maybe call ahead to see what’s on the menu because I still see the old menu listed online and it’s since changed quite a bit.“

“Love Playa Bowls on the Asbury Park Boardwalk not only do they have awesome menu to choose from. They always give my dog a pup cup as well so he loves going there with me.!!!!!

“I randomly stumbled into this place last night, and I was honestly really impressed! The Quesabirria were delicious! The tortillas were crispy, the beef was tender and flavorful, and the cheese added a nice richness. The flavors of the onions, cilantro, and lime tied it all together, making for a wonderful eating experience! And let's not forget about the dipping broth, which was packed with flavor! Dipping the tacos in the broth followed by the hot sauce was amazing!

The service was also great. The lady at the counter was really friendly and helped me feel at home. I would highly recommend this place for some really great birria! I hope I get a chance to come back :)“

“Got a Coco Power bowl, the portion was perfect to have as a meal. If I wasn't pretty hungry I may have struggled to finish it, but that just means you get your money's worth! The atmosphere is great, it's a narrow shop but they have a second floor for customers and they also have gender-neutral single occupant bathrooms!“

“We love Melonhead. Especially the Red Bank location 'cause it's much closer to us. It's convenient, cute, and quiet. The smoothies and bowls taste fresh and are always on point. Yesterday we met Alana who was highly exceptional and provided awesome customer service. I honestly thought she was this location's new manager. She was super friendly and is very devoted to her job. You guys are lucky to have her!? ?Update: I highly suggest more thorough customer service training with the young people who work here. Especially customer service training over the phone when talking to people.“

“We traveled 2 1/2 hours for a beach day and ended it with a Playa Bowl in Asbury which is a summer tradition. But we almost missed out! Location was closed by 6:00 pm on 9/21/24! We were in disbelief! We got there at 6:10pm. We begged and pleaded and “Jimmy” made it happen!!! World class service with a smile!!! What an amazing person you are “Jimmy”! Thanks for ending our summer with such class!!!!! There should be more people like you in this world!!! Safe Travels!!!!“

“I tried a quick lunch at Surf Tacos in Manasquan. Cool place, clean with a beachy vibe and interior. Service was prompt, which is always good. I ordered the $15 plate with 2 tacos, chips, beans, rice, and a drink that is a substantial meal. Opted for a Mahi and a Surf (breaded cod) taco to mix it up. They have a nice salsa bar, and I tried a little of them all. Drink offers soda or a tea dispenser.
The Cod taco was heavily breaded and not very tasty. Salsa helped. The Mahi was blackened and offered plenty of taste. I'd order it again.
Overall, I was pleased with this taco combo as a lunch option. Service and restaurant were nice, I'll visit again.“

Their us outdoor & indoor seating. The food looked presentable and it all tasted fresh. Will definitely be returning here when we’re back in this area.

Kid-friendliness: One of my kids only eats tenders & fries wherever we go. My husband and I were craving tacos from here as highly recommended. Glad we were able to accommodate our child in a taco establishment.“

The girl behind the counter was incredible - she was pleasant as she made the sandwich with all fresh ingredients. She's salesperson, cashier and chef! “I want to give them one star for service because of the young lady at the register, but 5 stars for the man who served us and the lady who cleared the table. Those two were courteous and friendly. The young lady at the register was rude when giving me my change. I gave her a $20 bill, she returned $7.10 by throwing it on the counter. I was shocked. I told my coworker who was with me (he had already stepped away from the counter). His response was yes she was rude (to him too). He paid with a credit card, so she didn't have any money to throw at him, but had an attitude taking his order. I guess we were not the right color for her (we're both different races). If I'm in that area again, I don't think I would patronize this restaurant again. I'm still baffled because I was my usual cheery self when ordering. While my coworker was ordering, I was trying to figure out the menu and what to get. As he finished, I asked him what he got, he said a crunch (or something like that) and I decided I would get tacos. I asked a question about how many tacos because I thought it was the usual 3 that you get at other restaurants. When I was told, it's one taco, I said, oh okay, I would like 2 please. I asked for the sauce on the side. Is that the reason she was rude? I'm still confused by the rudeness. I watched her after that being nice to customers (of her race) who were seated (she was wiping tables then). Smh.“

“I order doordash from this location every morning and they're great! The one thing I'd like to suggest, instead of sealing the bag you guys put your smoothies in can you put the seal over the straw hole and around the side of the smoothie lid? I had one dasher bring me the smoothie with the bag tore open and told me verbatim "those idiots don't know how to pack right I had to open your bag so the smoothie didn't fall over". I requested a refund from doordash and tossed the smoothie cause he could have done anything with it he wanted. Otherwise I love this place!!!“
