“I am not from Jersey and had a different vision and definition of small, simple wedding than most brides that live in Jersey :) We were struggling to find something in SOUTH Jersey within our budget that could create the simple, fun, "us" ceremony and reception we wanted for our special day. We wanted to throw a huge party and FUN was our byword. I finally just googled "Barn Venues Near Me" and The Barn in the Gardens was the first suggestion. I reached out to Nicole and explained that I didn't like the terms rustic and farmhouse and hated burlap but was looking for a simple, laidback Woodland/Tea party vibe that incorporated books. We wanted dancing and lawn games and a fire pit where guest could roast s'mores and this venue delivered all that and more!Nicole is AMAZING! Her prices are reasonable and her packages are so inclusive of everything you would need for your special day. She has almost any decoration you would need and really listened to what we wanted and delivered. She is easy to deal with and her event space is perfect! It's been a month since our wedding and people are still telling us how wonderful and amazing the venue was and how much fun they had. Our guest had such a good time and loved Nicole and the space so much they are recommending The Barn in the Gardens to anyone they hear is in need of an event space - regardless of where in Jersey they live :)”
“Always decent food and service is very responsive... However we get there early on a Friday around five and try to leave by 8:00x...I believe the crowd changes and it gets quite busy.”
“I passed this little restaurant years ago when I was on a job training. It was in the afternoon during the lunch period, and the parking lot was full. It peaked my interest. When I realized recently that it was the same spot I had to stop. My first meal was the roasted chicken. It was delicious. This time, I had sapos with pork. Once again, it's very good. I've decided that I am going to stop here every time I'm in the area. I'm American and grew up with the American version of Mexican food. I'm glad I have the opportunity to try authentic Mexican. Right now, I'm undoing the over seasoned taste buds. It's my hope to learn the true authentic taste to know the difference between good or bad dishes. I'm off to a great start! I'll be back!”
“Yum yum; get you some! Freshly made; perfectly balanced seasonings. I think they made their own tostadas ?Clean and well-maintained indoor seating.Outdoor seating available.”
“This place was good. The tasting room with large seating area (both indoor and outdoor) was nice. The wine and food were excellent. Only criticism is that when wine is purchased by the glass, it is pricey and the pours are way too small (see photo below), you’re better off buying a whole bottle.”
“My brother and sister-in-law brought over wings from this place before. They were so good that I had to text my brother a few days later because I wanted more. I placed my order, and it was ready within 20 minutes and the man (I think he was the owner) was very personable and nice! Very good food.”
“Terry’s custard has been a hot spot for our family to go to for as long as I can remember. They have high quality homemade ice cream that is sure to keep you coming back! And if you like gelatos this is the place to find the best ice flavors mixed with creamy delicious custard ice cream!”
“Best food in town!! Hands down.. never disappointed! The chicken is delicious together with the Peruvian rice. My G has his Asian menu and I have tried about almost everything and more! That man can cook. I hear almost every weekend lol. That’s how good his food is. Very recommended. My favorite is the Chilean sea bass and the skirt steak”
“An inviting personable space that has been well thought out & delicious brews! There is something for everyone as they have a beautiful variety to choose from! The Bank is such a unique space and I love that the vault is used and exposed for your enjoyment! Come in and get a little taste of our small town while supporting this family owned brewery. Cheers!?”
“Warm and friendly environment. All the food is freshly prepared, home cooking with a flair. The baked goods are plentiful and delicious. I drive 2 hours to go to this hidden gem. Caleb brews the best latte, coffee and hot beverages so save room for a speciality drink and some dessert. Not feeling well? Talk to Kim, the owner and she can put together some teas to fix what ails you. They also cater and sell cookie trays. Their prices are incredibly low considering the fresh ingredients.”
“This is such a great cafe! There’s not really any other good coffee shops in the area so I was so glad when I heard about Comfort Cafe! It’s cute and cozy inside with friendly staff and great food/drink options. I have a baby too so I especially appreciated the really nice changing table set-up in the bathroom!”
“They're the best pizza around ever since I was a child. I drive from Delaware to go get a party tray. Call the phone number 3344 to order directly from them. I made the mistake of ordering online for pick up, thinking it was their site and it was that damn Grub Hubs site. They charged me an extra damn $10 to go get my own stuff. Never again...call the 3344 number on there. If they're very busy like on Friday nights you might have to call several times.”
“Tee is a very nice person and I'm so glad that she delivers. I ordered the peach cobbler cheesecake for my husband's birthday. He was surprised and happy. The cheesecake was delicious and I will be ordering again.”
“Found the restaurant freshened up after not visiting here for a long time. It looks good. The food here is fine, good diner food, with a notable exception. On a previous visit ordered pancakes with blueberries, the batter was raw on the inside. On this visit I decided to try pancakes again, was disappointed. Not sure why some kitchens just cannot make a good pancake.”
“Good workers ans customer service. Amazing food. I had the jersey chicken sandwich and the chicken and beef pattie the Mac and cheese and the fish. It's all good food. I recommend 100%”
“Big place. Ample parking. Nice owner. Food is great the last couple of times! We love Larry. He makes us feel like family. I am impressed. My previous comment was based on one visit. The chicken parm, Mac and cheese, and corn bread are probably the world's best. Dessert is included with the meal.Parking: You can pull a semi truck or truck and horse trailer 40 plus parking spaces.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes there is a ramp”
“Haven't had any of the food yet. Drinks are very good. My favorite is karaoke night and of course the bar tenders. The regulars are of multiple ages and fun to hang out with.”
“Joe’s is by far the best pizza shop in the area. I have tried other places and nothing comes close. Joe’s is well run with consistently good food. The same guys are always working hard in there, so they care about your order and providing excellent customer service. I’ve come in multiple times on a solo run with kids in tow, and they’ll carry my order out to the car even if they’re busy. Our favorites to get are the Joe’s Special, tomato pie, and wings, but have never had a bad meal in the 10+ years I’ve been ordering from them. Have also never waited more than 25 minutes from call to pickup, usually just 15. These guys are FAST.Joe’s also sponsors fundraising nights for local schools which I appreciate.”
“We saw some reviews while looking for a lunch spot while in town for work and we are so glad we found this place. Got the quesobirria tacos and a pizza birria and they did not disappoint. This place does not skimp on ingredients. Packed full of meat and cheese and flavor. Will definitely be back!”
“Classic walk-up hot dog and burger joint right off the road. Walking up to this place is like stepping back to a simpler time. You really can taste the nostalgia. Stop in and reminisce and finish up with a banana milkshake.”
“I had the privilege of sampling six distinct wines from the esteemed Monroeville Vineyard & Winery. Allow me to commence by noting the graciousness of the reception, which set a serene and inviting ambiance. Authentic melodies further enhanced the atmosphere. The wines experienced were as follows:1) The 2017 Estate Chambourcin presented a remarkably smooth and light profile, striking a perfect balance without overwhelming the senses.2) The Semi-Sweet Rosé exhibited delightful flavors, boasting a smooth, fruity sweetness that entices one to indulge without restraint.3) The Cranberry wine evoked memories of festive holiday gatherings, transporting the palate to scenes of mistletoe and crackling fireplaces.4) Monroeville Red, a customer favorite, showcased a delectable sweetness that invites warmth and affection with each sip.5) The Sangria dazzled with its enticing aromatics and a palate that exudes both juiciness and earthiness, delivering a harmonious and intense fruit expression.6) The Plum wine impressed with its lively and spirited character, culminating in a lingering and deeply satisfying finish.”
“Great little neighborhood tavern/carry out which was all I used. Not a great selection of bourbon but it is a small space. Used them a couple of times while visiting. Convenient”
“It is a good place to enjoy any Mexican snack, and they serve you with joy and kindness. Without a doubt, I would return again and again to taste everything delicious that this place offers ???”
“Thank you, family father and son. You guys really know your cooking. It was such an unexpected discovery for this town and great satisfaction after being at the inspection facility nearby.”
“The owner is the kindest and very helpful, i would go here everyday if i could!!!Kid-friendliness: My son loves sprinkle donuts, they always have one ready for him when he gets there!!!”
“Super crowded, no reservation, no problem. Casual atmosphere, but fine dining standards: linen tablecloths, professional wait staff, great food. Our server Dottie was the ”
“Jackie is the best, we try to come back when she is working. We always have a great time when we stop by since we do not live in town. The food is consistently great and you definitely need to try a “Lolita Special”!!”
“La Bonita has been on our checklist for a while now. As a local I can say that it’s wonderful to see the town building up the colorful array of small businesses and their brands. This cute little “Paleta” themed shop has something for your sweet tooth and a market for your quick stop shop! If only I got to meet the owners, I’m sure they would have been as pleasant as their new establishment. “KUDOS to La Bonita for bringing us a hint of Fun Filled Flavor with Family!” -aL4smallBiz”
“I ordered food all the way from Atlantic City New Jersey to a family member in Bridgeton. He said that was the best food he have ever ate in a bowl. It was amazing I want to thank you guys for the good service and the good food you serve and hot I recommend it to anybody Sincerely, your Atlantic City customer …Dietary restrictions: You get what you asked for and nice and hotKid-friendliness: Great pic for the children”
“I’m originally from Philadelphia. Their cheesesteak is as good or better than Tony Luke, Ginos’s or Pat’s. How is this even possible In a town of less than 2500 people? I don’t know, don’t care, but damned good food!”
