Moonstruck is a restaurant offering a delightful ambiance and attentive service, making it an ideal location for special occasions. Located near the ocean, the restaurant provides a beautifully appointed, home-like atmosphere. Entering from the street and moving up to the tables on the second floor creates a lovely experience with warm, low lighting that sets a relaxed mood for dinner. The menu boasts a varied selection of appetizers and entrees. The salmon dish is particularly noteworthy, being one of the best.
While cocktails are well-prepared, there may be a delay in service. The restaurant week menu features flavorful soups, including the New England clam chowder and tomato basil soup. Some entrees, such as the pork chop, are moist and perfectly cooked. However, there are mixed reviews on certain dishes; for instance, the linguini pesto with chicken milanese has been noted as dry, resembling a cheap meal. Guests have also found the Cuban clams and shrimp cocktail to be underwhelming, with the shrimp lacking freshness.
On a positive note, desserts like the apple crisp with vanilla ice cream, coconut flan with pineapple, and the pistachio gelato with brownie bits are delicious and highly recommended. Overall, Moonstruck is worth visiting for its ambiance and some of its dishes, but it may not meet expectations in every aspect.
