It’s hard to find a spot at Talula’s. And it’s for the right reasons: the atmosphere is cool, communal, and casual. The drinks are off the beaten path, unexpected in a good way. And the pizzas are amazing and surprising. The staff is friendly and accommodating. All in all - a great place.

the chicken sandwitch on a “biscuit” was 3/10. super oily bread and no flavor on the chicken. nothing on it and barely any of the honey that was advertised. don’t recommend to get that but the restaurant was super cute

It was very loud and uncomfortable and the kitchen doesn’t take any substitutions. Our drinks were served all wet from spillage. Just not my style.

Excellent food! The atmosphere is a little loud and crowded, but worth it for the delightful food! The ricotta cheese is out of this world!

Incredible pizza!! Such good orange wine and also loved the Pizza Hut lamps
I was really excited to show my partner Talula's because it's top of everyone's recommendation. The pizza / entrees / drinks were really good.
But there were a couple aspects of our visit that soured the experience and it feels necessary to mention. Not in a way that I would say don't go here - it's definitely a must try! Especially for pizza. But I would be wary on the desserts, and be aware not all the drinks on the website are available all day.
This was on Friday Aug 16. We wanted to make a reservation but saw the only thing available online was 2-3 or 9 reservations. I should ve called the restaurant to see if we could have come later, that's on me, but the
2:45 time slot meant there was "no bartender" to make drinks that are on their breakfast or dinner menu. There was a selection of lunch drinks and my partner got one she did want to try, but had planned to try another that seemingly wasn't made clear on the website it wouldn't be there? Again, that could totally be our mishap.
They were out of a couple items which is no problem, what we ordered was fantastic.
However, they clearly had ran out of the custard for the "Best Damn Pie Ever" and instead of telling us, they gave us the bottom layer of the pie with a bunch of whipped cream on top.
Sorry to say it did not go unnoticed that the main part of the pie, the custard, was missing. The bottom of the pie is a very rich bitter dark chocolate chunk. Which would’ve been fine as a pie bottom, but as a pie onto itself? No ma'am.
My partner and I went back and forth like - visually the mountain of whipped cream made it look like maybe it could be the pie in the photo, but upon tasting it we knew it surely was not. But we had gone too far eating it to return it and felt awkward about mentioning it.
On top of that (no pun intended) we thought if they had said they were out or had even asked it we wanted just the pie bottom as an alternative, that would've been more appropriate.
But to just serve this as some kind of sly jest, neigh neigh sir. We know our custards from our creams.
I worked in the restaurant industry for years, I never ever want to speak ill of staff. Our waitress was so attentive and wonderful. But someone in the kitchen fluked on this one, and it did make our experience a bit of a bummer.
Please don't serve the bitter chocolate bottom as a pie with a pile of whip cream on top, thank you!

This review is only on the pizza as I came to eat pizza. Pizza was so good I had 2 myself! If you like authentic Neapolitan style pizza do not miss this cool vibe restaurant. If you like American style pizza walk on by.

The food was great but the smell of the bathroom from the dining room was off-putting

Talula's is amazing! The Beekeepers lament is one of the best pizzas in the area and the place is always bustling with energy. Ate there last night and we were able to walk right in and snag a table. Food came out quick and was delicious as always!

We were in from out of town with a group of 11 adults. Was very nervous when we walked in and saw the small eating area but I was very impressed with how well our large party was handled. The server was friendly and efficient and the food came out way faster than any of us were expecting. The pizza was phenomenal and everything else we had was great as well.

The food is great but a rip off in price. My wife has celiac and they came out with a plain pie for her. I didn’t make a stink. I wound up finishing my food before hers even came out. We were being nice and not complaining. Thought they would maybe not charge an extra dollar for the teaspoon of sauce they gave her as a side after this but they did. No comp, and obviously no care for their customers. Next time I’ll look like the jerk and complain. Absurd they wouldn’t offer anything after almost getting my wife a trip to the hospital. Another entity just singing the one note song… me me me.

Pizza was good and all but do yourself a favor and get a loaf of sourdough bread. It’s seriously the best I’ve ever had!!!
