Just want to say the service was great, and the time to get our food was great. Not a fan of the pancakes but to each his own. The pancakes, and the dead fish smell (due to the location of the restaurant) didn't sit well with my girlfriend(was getting nauseous from it.

The problem really was the heat combined with the dead fishy smell. It would have been a little unbearable If it weren't for the fans and the little bit of wind we had that day.
We stopped by Gilchrist for breakfast and had the blueberry hotcakes, scrambled eggs, Italian sausage, and later tried the shrimp po’ boy.

The Italian sausage was really good—probably my favorite thing on the breakfast plate. The scrambled eggs were pretty bland and could’ve used more seasoning. The blueberry hotcakes were good, fluffy, and enjoyable, but they weren’t anything particularly memorable.

My wife got the plain pancakes and I got the peach. Peach was not worth it. They stuck some canned peaches in the center. Sounded nice then they actually were. Just go with the plain and you will be glad you did and they are great
