We took a huge risk by coming to this empty little unassuming restaurant for lunch instead of the diner next door that had 2000+ reviews.
But my god I’m glad we did. Having had similar food in New York, I’d have to say that this is best jerk chicken I’ve had thus far. Goute Créole Caribbean Restaurant is a Haitian Jamaican Creole restaurant in Atlantic City. The food is served hot and flavorful, and everything tastes fresh and truly homemade. The oxtails are tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly, and the jerk chicken and red snapper are also delicious. The homemade lemonade and homemade juices are spectacular, and a dip sauce comes with the plantains. The to-go cabbage is delicious. The portion sizes are more than fair. The service is outstanding, with everyone being welcoming, friendly, and kind. The owner genuinely cares about the experience and takes pride in the restaurant. Despite a small misunderstanding about pricing from an older menu, the food was worth every dollar. The atmosphere is exceptional, and the staff demonstrates remarkable professionalism and hospitality. Customers highly recommend this spot for authentic Caribbean food with great energy.
