Ate here yesterday with three of my co-workers. I've had their food previously at the restaurant and we've used them for catering but it was my co-workers first time there. Two of my co-workers had oxtail and my other co-worker and I had wings (I also added a piece of fish to mine). EVERYTHING came out as expected; hot, fresh and delicious. Seasoned perfectly. We all loved every single bite and the sides were also amazing. Will be back. Sorry...didn't get...
Shug’s has the best soul food in South Jersey hands down! It’s hidden off on the campus, but it’s the first thing you see as you walk in. Hard to miss. The food is delicious!!! and the owners are friendly and give you enough food to put you to sleep! I would say what my favorite dish is, but they make it impossible to choose.
My family and I visited Shug’s for the first time, we were there for the Queens concert. I have to say the food was cooked to order so it took awhile for them to prepare it; but was worth the wait. The chicken, macaroni and cheese and the collard greens was awesome, everyone’s order was great!! I would recommend this establishment to anyone interested in some down home soul
food.
