Simpson Restaurant & Sports Bar- Atlantic City

Went with my mom and we mainly went for the oxtails and Mac n cheese which was Devine. My first time trying oxtails and been craving them ever since. The Mac n cheese was delicious and I don’t play bout my Mac n cheese. We had the chicken tacos as our appetizer and they were refreshing and just overall delicious. Now I’m not an alcohol girl so the drinks were a little strong for me but they were still good. Now our waitress was a bit off her game. When our tacos came out she never brought us plates so we were eating them on our napkins and another waitress saw and brought us plates immediately. We had to keep looking around for our waitress for to go boxes and the check. Besides that everything was great the music, atmosphere and the food is out of this world. Most definitely will be back.

Came across The Simpson restaurant while looking for a dinner spot after a day at the beach. This upscale take on Jamaican, Soul and American cuisine hit the spot. It was a Wednesday around 5:30pm. We were greeted warmly, seated promptly and Yas, our server provided excellent service. The rice and peas were infused nicely with coconut milk. There is a delicious take on tacos with jerk chicken. The curried shrimp was nicely presented with steamed veggies. Reggae music played softly, booths were intimate with lovely artwork on the walls. I would return to this restaurant. If I’m in Brooklyn, I will try that location as well.

Me and my bestfriend went to this restaurant for a getaway trip. Color me surprised when I see the waitress and waiters friendly and happy. Especially this sweet lady named Jowana. She was our bartender and will be 100% going back to see her! If you love good food and a sweet atmosphere please put this place on your to-go list!

Make sure you plan ahead incase reservations is needed. Went on Mother's day weekend and they were very very busy. The place looked awesome but unfortunately we didn't make reservations

Got the oxtail and rice with plantains and everything was absolutely delicious. Service was friendly. Would highly recommend to anyone even remotely interested in Caribbean food. The atmosphere feels as it should.

We had an incredible experience at this Jamaican restaurant — the food was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. We ordered the lamb, snapper, and crab legs, and everything was cooked to perfection.

The lamb was a standout — perfectly cooked with no fat, just tender, flavorful meat. The crab legs came in the most incredible sauce I’ve ever tasted, and while they took a bit of effort to crack open, every single bite was completely worth it. The corn was also surprisingly one of the best I’ve had.

And we couldn’t leave without dessert — the tiramisu was absolute perfection. The perfect way to end an already amazing meal.

Our bartender April was a gem — pleasant, attentive, and totally on top of everything all night.

If you’re looking for an authentic, delicious Jamaican experience, this is the place. We’ll definitely be back!

June 26, 2026 i visited Simpson, the atmosphere was great, the service from the front door was superb. Our waitress was all smiles the entire time. I ordered the oxtail. They were flavorful, tender and meaty. I ored a baked potato, it was not good it was definitely a previous baked and reheated potato. The waitress replaced it with rice and peas and the manager came over and apologized. So all and all it was a terrific experience and when I am in Atlantic city I will visit.

Food: OXTAIL & MAC PIE. Baby that is just oxtails with a 2 side of mac for $35. 🤣 aint no pie though. Oxtail was tougher then my mama . They should of been falling of the bone when its only oxtails and mac on the plate babe..

Customer Service: No line, yet we were stared at, but not spoken to for some time before seated.

Once seated the customer service was POOR. You all are very rude on the phone as well.
Waitress came to the table 4 times out the whole service. 1 time to seat. 1 to take the order. 1 to bring drink. 1. To bring food.
Another server brought my check because I had to ask for it.
Alot of young kids working so they just hanging by the door laughing chilling.
The young woman kept reaching over the table to grab plates😒.... the aesthetic of the place was nice but the service did not match that aesthetic or price. And when you have valet parking, $35-65 plates, $15-20 drinks. It should... personally I'd say spend the extra 50 and go to Ruth Chris. Or just go to a take out jamacian spot. You ain't really missing nothing at Simpsons.
