We love La Riva! Ignore the haters with the poor reviews. Brick oven pizza is always slightly charred - it's what gives it flavor, and their pizzas are delicious. The rigatoni is excellent too, as are their Spritzes - yum! We've always found the service to be great. People have to realize that this is a summer community and sometimes it's hard to get enough staff - but we've always found all the waitstaff at all their restaurants (The Arlington & Daymark)...
We ordered the gem salad, pepperoni pizza, chicken picatta, and the angry rigatoni (one of their specials). All of the dishes, besides the pizza, were absolutely incredible- the chicken picatta was served with broccoli rabe in a delicious white wine sauce, it was perfectly cooked. The angry rigatoni with crumbled sausage was one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had, the sauce was so unique and delectable. Knocking one star off the review just because the pizza wasn't...
We've been to La Riva many times and it never fails to impress. The food, drinks, service, and atmosphere are consistently on point. It's one of our favorite spots on LBI - highly recommended!
