“Tried this place today for the first time! Can not wait to go back. Pork roll egg and cheese on a gutted toasted habañero bagel! Didn’t expect much spice from the bagel but it was pleasantly spicy and perfectly toasted. I wish I understood how people can leave such negative reviews from a place that is obviously doing their best. And their best is good enough for me!! Can not wait to go back and try more of their delicious items. Priced right and very delicious! They even had a french toast bagel which my date was very happy to see, as not all bagel places have them. Would give six stars if possible. And the NE clam chowder was DEE-lish!!!!!“

“I’ve been coming to JT’s bagels since they opened and it’s literally the only place where I’ll get a bagel from! Consistency is key. I moved away 5 years ago and I’m officially back in Jersey for good and they’re still as perfect as I remember them! I would literally crave them. “Attended an event at my church, Saint Stephens in Waretown yesterday, and was treated to the most wonderful bagel I have ever experienced! So soft, tasty and so much larger than the ones I had become used to, no other bagel will compare which will force me to drive up from Tuckerton once a week and stock up and put them in the freezer so I have them! Thank you so much for your generosity to our church and for the tasty treats!“

“After driving past Barrel & Surf for the last 11 years, I finally stopped in and I’m glad I did. I kept seeing it all over my TikTok feed and felt compelled to check it out for myself.

We ordered a regular iced latte with almond milk and a vanilla iced latte with almond milk, and both were excellent, smooth, flavorful, and perfectly made. Between the great coffee, friendly service, and laid-back beach-town vibe, I can see why people keep talking about it. Safe to say I won’t wait another 11 years before coming back.☕“

“CASH ONLY! Solid but unspectacular bagel shop. The bagels were smallish and less flavorful than bagels we have had in the past. Big holes likely means they didn’t proof long enough or it is old dough. The everything topping was very onion-heavy. Expansive flavor line up but they were out of spinach. Nice clean place and friendly cashiers.“
