Went on a Tuesday night. Service was great and food was delicious. Two of us are Celiac and the restaurant takes precautions. Had blackened file fish, chili prawns, scallops and a burger at our table. The food tasted really good. A little pricey (like everything on LBI) - but a pleasant splurge.
Billy our waiter was so nice. He was polite and made sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. I go every year when I am on the island. I like the atmosphere. I always ask for the quieter family dining area away from the bar that I hear has excellent drinks at great prices. On the way in and out all servers and staff who are waiting for there orders to come up always say hello and either enjoy your meal or I hope everything was okay tonight and Enjoy your Evening....
This was our first time dining at the Black Whale. Our server; Brian, was excellent in catering to our every need. He truly elevated our dining experience! We felt taken care of and not rushed as we slowly made our way through cocktails and appetizers to our entrees and to our desserts. Kevin had the salmon with sweet chili sauce. He savored every bite.
