This place used to be a favorite of mine when I’m on the island, but ever since the other location closed, the quality overall has decreased. The customer service is completely non existent. Front of house is the first impression when walking into a restaurant, so the fact that there were several people at the counter and not one person said hello, welcome, or anything was disappointing. Even the what looked to be management, said nothing and just looked through me, complaining that the rush was starting, as if it were bad to be making money. I guess that’s what happens when you hire teenagers who could care less. The girl at the counter didn’t even look at me when she finally did speak saying pick up? I mean, it couldn’t have been more rude. Every person there seemed to be bothered by having to do their job. It’s only $63 worth of food but I would appreciate just a little courtesy. The chicken parm sandwich was a huge disappointment. It wasn’t even a real chicken cutlet, they just threw some chicken tendies on a roll and called it chicken parm. Do not get! Yellow American cheese doesn’t belong on cheesesteaks or chicken steaks either. Pizza was still decent and I like the sauce, but it used to be way better at the old location. Overall I cannot say with confidence that I will be returning. The lack of hospitality is enough for me to tell others to eat elsewhere, as there are many gems on the island. Do better.

Food is alright. No terrible if they are open. Website said open until 10pm. Got There 8:30 on a Saturday and staff says they are closing soon. Only option is a couple of random dried out slices of gross old pizza. No other food apparently.

$12 for literally 5 meatballs on a toasted roll, no cheese is wild. And a cheesesteak with no cheese!? Cmon now, it’s in the name. Also I’ve seen more personality in a dried up sock than the the people that work there

Friendly service, good pizza, large potions of pasta, and the biggest onion rings I have ever seen. I’ll be back. Thanks for being open on Labor Day!

Nope. Nope. Nope. Never wanted to be back in North Jersey faster. Gave this place a shot since I didn’t feel like going down to Bay Village Pizza. Very very bland. I don’t know if it was the sauce or cheese, but there was zero flavor. Like eating an Ellio’s. Can’t speak for the rest of their dishes, but for a place called Joeys Pizza that is not the expertise.

A major let down. We ordered a buffalo chicken wrap, a white pizza slice, a red pizza slice, and fries. Sadly, the food was disappointing—so much so that despite being hungry, all three of us ended up tossing it in the trash. I don’t know that I’ve ever done that before. ?

There are definitely better options elsewhere on the island.

I’ll start by saying the only reason I’m giving 3 stars is the food is actually good. BUT the service is abysmal. Been coming down here for years and every time we reluctantly chose Joeys because of its close proximity and decent food, we get the rug pull with service. Whether it’s is a rude counter experience or just plain stupidity, we never leave without the taste of disappointment on our palate before we even eat. I realize there is inexperienced seasonal help but c’mon ownership, this is on you. Please teach your employees to be better attentive and more polite. Your food is good, compliment it with customer experience.

It’s not New York City Pizza, but it’s one of the better ones in the area, and they do a pretty consistent job. Pretty smooth run place. I need to commend them.
Always there when ya need a decent slice/pie or meal. Well priced as well.

So, it's 8:36 pm, the pizzas were ordered at 7:07. The pizzeria is 5 blocks away. No pizzas. Each call to ask response is: they are on their way. Order from anywhere else. Trust me.
So, the pies arrived, with a weak apology. I didn't hit the delivery guy's tip too hard as it may not be on him at all.
However, you should know that the Grandma pie was A. Round (not a deal breaker, but unusual) B. Very salty C. Not thin crust ( again unusual) D. Only warm.
Plain pie was deemed okay, but only warm.
There are other things to say about the quality here, but I don't feel there's a need. Look at my other reviews and take my advice. Call somewhere else.
