The Gables Historic Inn & Restaurant

Quite an amazing dining experience in LBI! It's pricy for sure but the experience, the service, the ambiance and especially the food was excellent! We all ordered something different for each of the three choices and shared all of it! It needs to be a special occasion but they don't dissapoint! We loved our evening at the Gables!

We have been coming here a couple times a year for the last 10 years. Love it. Last night was our anniversary, 43 years. Great way to celebrate

Cassandra was our server and she was friendly and very attentive! We were a table of 4 adults and we all loved her! Our dinner was excellent! Asparagus soup, Beet salad, pork chop, cheese cake and chocolate cake all were perfectly cooked and served.

The Gables is beautiful and elegant The food was great however at $140 per person it is very overpriced and no drinks included We have dined in many very upscale restaurants and never paid as much And then they charged us another $18 for 2 cappuccino so we had with our dessert

Amazing meal. It was our second time there and Steve and Sondra could not possibly have been more hospitable. We were able to sit outside because they moved our table to be next to the fireplace. The service and the meal were excellent. Creative food and there was plenty, no minuscule portions! Definitely for a special occasion due to the cost but well worth it .

We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at the Gables. It was our first time and did not realize it was Prix Fixe only. With that said, every course was magnificent. The chef is truly gifted and the host/hostess were friendly. Piano player was a lovely touch to complete the whole experience. We will be back!

Dined here many times and found it excellent. This was the first time we were a bit disappointed with both the food and service. Just seemed not up to their usual standards compared to past visits.

It's a beautiful place and the service was outstanding. However the up charges on top of the prefix menu price were pretty outrageous considering....

Service, atmosphere, and food are always exceptional. It is our favorite place for celebrations on the island!

Mediocre food and service, even for an averagely priced restaurant, which the gables clearly is not. I was shocked and disappointed because I read reviews.

We had a delicious dinner and expert waitstaff. We requested a cozy spot for celebrating our wedding anniversary and they found the perfect place for us. This is by far one of the best restaurants at the Jersey Shore!

We were a party of 4 on a recent Sunday night. There was on other table occupied. The service was attentive, the food delicious and the ambiance perfect. Although the price is a bit high the food and ambiance are worth it.

The food was excellent as always, and the service was wonderful. We celebrated our 1-year marriage anniversary here, and the staff went above and beyond by giving us a bottle opener and a cute “Happy Anniversary” sign. Such a thoughtful touch that made the evening extra special!
