City level fine dining (and pricing) but at the beach, can’t beat that. Quaint, romantic setting, and great service. The food is a culinary experience that would stand out anywhere. Our fifth time there over the years and rarely an item we haven’t liked. Perfect place for an upscale date night/gathering in LBI. Also BYOB even though a few wine options can purchase there.
We had a wonderful meal, the restaurant was beautiful, and the staff was great. However, you need to justify in advance to pay for a 2-person dinner which is equivalent in cost to a $450 cart of groceries. I accepted that going in but wouldn't do it again for a 3-course meal. Five courses maybe.
Loved the steak salad, crab salad, salmon, halibut, chocolate mousse and strawberry and cream. Brianna is an excellent server. Love celebrating our anniversary every year at the Gables!
