Beware when booking this hotel. I had to cancel my room due to a work obligation and I gave over 30 days notice. They kept over $100 of my money for a service they never provided me and refused to refund it. I will never book at this hotel again.
The bar service down by the pool was absolutely horrible today (8/6/24). My family has been coming to LBI for 15 years (1 year off for covid) and the Sea Shell has always been a destination for good drinks and food by the pool with live music. Today we went there for the first time this week excited as usual, but there was an issue with the ID reader that resulted in our kids (ages 22 and 24) having to wait for the police because the bartender accused them of using fake IDs. We used the Sea Shell for our wedding venue and can’t say enough nice things about it. For starters our planners were amazing, Brittany and Jaimee were always available to answer any questions we had. They set everything up just the way we wanted. The food during cocktail hour was to die for and all of our guests raved about it.
