“This is a cherished restaurant for us on special occasions. This time was good but not as spectacular as in the past - no one pulled out my chair for me, the menu is a little less robust and I wish they would offer some gluten free bread. (Yes I know the kitchen will cross contaminate and they cannot guarantee the food is GF) That said Luis was a great server, the food was delicious and the wine list is a work of art. (So is the wine cellar)“

“We recently had my daughter’s soccer team lunch here on a Sunday afternoon. I spoke with the manager on duty the evening prior and it couldn’t have gone smoother. We had the whole top floor to ourselves. Service was amazing as was the food. We sometimes have issues splitting checks because the girls want to sit together away from their parents but they handled it with ease. I’m still dreaming of the delicious ice cream that was the cherry on top of a great experience.“

It was a little bit noisy at first but as the crowd diminished it was delightful evening.We arrived at 7:30 and left at 9:45. At no time did we feel rushed to leave.The portions were generous and my wife and friends wife both took food home for the next day.“

The atmosphere is laid-back but lively, making it perfect whether you’re grabbing a quick drink after work or spending the evening out with friends. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive — they make you feel like a regular, even on your first visit.

Drinks are strong, well-priced, and there’s always a good selection of beers and cocktails. The music and vibe are on point, Westbrook always delivers a great experience. Highly recommend checking it out!“

Every detail was seamlessly handled: valet link provided in advance, immediate concierge and bellhop assistance, no waiting at check-in, and a flawless, impeccably maintained property. They even offered an Escalade shuttle to the restaurant so I wouldn’t have to walk in heels—just one example of how thoughtful and guest-centered everything is.

What makes this place ideal is that you never need to leave the property. Whether it’s a quiet retreat for couples or a family-friendly stay, the balance is perfect. Even with many families around, the atmosphere remained serene, and our adult weekend was never disturbed.

The staff made our stay unforgettable. Aiden welcomed us warmly and kept us entertained while our room was prepared. Michele was gracious with our luggage, and Chris went above and beyond—hauling our suitcase to the pool in the heat when our plans shifted from e-biking (my wife couldn’t quite reach the pedals!) to relaxing by the water. At the pool, Paige kept us refreshed with her bright, cheerful energy, making us feel truly spoiled.

Dining was equally memorable. At 90 Acres, our server Corey elevated dinner with thoughtful touches, including a surprise dessert packaged to-go when she noticed how full we were. In the Tavern, Rudy made us feel like old friends, mixing cocktails with care and conversation that made the night.

Every single staff member made us feel valued and cared for, which is rare even in luxury hotels. This property is more than just beautiful—it’s an experience that lingers long after you leave. In fact, it was the first trip where we didn’t take a single photo—we were so present and immersed in the moment that reaching for our phones never even crossed our minds.

“We came at 6 p.m. ,put our name in and were told we had a 20 min. wait. After 20 min. I went to check and was told then that there were reservations ahead of us that had to be seated. If we had been told this we wouldn't have waited. We found this very rude and unprofessional and we will not be choosing sara janes again.“

“Stopped in by accident and discovered a goldmine. Driving home to Connecticut, I exited 287 to take a break from rush hour. Nothing like a Buffalo pizza to calm the nerves. I was greeted by a friendly host. I requested a seat at a high top in the bar area , so I could people watch and glance at the game on one of the many tvs. I had a great server , his name was Todd. He explained the menu and walked me through the various pizza selections. He not only knew the menu , he was excited discussing the food. I ordered a Buffalo Pie, it was unbelievable. I wish I saved room for dessert , because the choices seemed so delicious. Next time I’m going through town I will definitely come back“

The portions are not very large but that was ok as the prices were not outrageous. We found it a bit confusing that my husband was asked by the circulating manager to remove his fedora however, the woman sitting next to us had a winter ski beanie on and was not asked to remove hers, not a deal breaker but certainly annoying as the dress code was not formal and the man sitting with her had on sweat pants and sneakers....? Pork chop used to be really cooked to perfection and moist, however lately it has been dried out and overcooked. Mac and cheese lost the amount of cheese it usually has on it, and noodles were undercooked the previous two times. Must have changed the cooks in kitchen, who knows.“
