“Beautiful room and attentive service. Food was delicious, but my only complaint would be that the Zuppa I ordered was supposed to include scallops. They apparently didn't have them or had run out that night (although it wasn't extremely busy) and without informing me, they just substituted some salmon- not exactly an even swap! I should have been told they didn't have a key component of the dish, so I could opt for another entree. It was good, but the idea it was advertised as containing scallops was a deciding factor in choosing that particular dish.“
“Wonderful Tues evening dinner at Semolina last night with our son, a Michelin trained chef who also attended the Brookdale Culinary Program before working in Manhattan. He wasn’t the only chef dining there last night either. This location seems to bring out the best & that continues in new & exciting ways under the stewardship of Chefs/Owners Chuck & Tylar Lesbirel who have made this BYOB the best restaurant you’ll want to return to again & again in Red Bank. It wasn’t our first visit but because we cannot get a table for 5-I’ve tried, our family of adults who enjoy fine dining & actually like each other, can’t be accommodated yet. Hope they’ll reconsider at least on weeknights when they’re rarely not fully booked at least. Appreciate all the improvements to the dining room.“
“I wanted to get some fried chicken for dinner one night earlier this week and decided crown it was! I got a picnic box and I noticed they made kebabs on a sign on the wall so I said hey why not! The beef kebabs were so delicious! Juicy and full of tasty spices! The sauce the served with it was delicious! The chicken, as usual, was hot, fresh and juicy! Always worth it! If you are looking for tasty, good priced local fried chicken that's not a chain, I recommend this! I will always come back to crown fried chicken ????Parking: They have many spots open right up front.Wheelchair accessibility: There are no steps to get inside. You can easily wheel any wheel chair right in the door.“
“Three words: crunchy rice cakes. My God, they are absolutely phenomenal. I've had this dish so many times from other locations, but The Bistro's version blows every last one out of the water. The crispiness of the rice, the freshness of the tuna, the smooth and creamy mouthfeel of the guacamole, the ever so slight popping sensation of the tobiko, and the refreshing and perfectly balanced sweet and spicy lava sauce all combine to make one of the most sublime bites of food I've ever had the pleasure of tasting. The absolute star of the show isn't the tuna; it's the lava sauce. It has a beautiful, somewhat citrus flavor with the perfect sweetness level, finished with a little kick that has just the right amount spice. It ties all of the ingredients together and elevates the dish from good to unforgettable. I would buy this sauce by the gallon. Every dish I've had here has been excellent, but I literally dream about the crunchy rice cakes. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. My to-go order was packed and ready within minutes of ordering. The atmosphere is great, perfect for a date night or an intimate dinner with a small group. Parking can be a little difficult to find on a Friday or Saturday evening but they have two convenient entrances: the front door on Broad Street and the back door in the English Plaza lot. It's a very short walk from the White Street, Mechanic Street, or Wallace/Linden Street lots.“
“I do not submit a lot of reviews but feelcompelled to do so after experience last night. After the owner/manger noticed that a very busy waitress had not been to our table to take drink order, what seemed like the entire restaurant then went out of their way to make up for the slight delay. Even though it was not a big deal to us, it was to them and they more than made up for a small inconvenience. Food was also really good, and atmosphere on a Saturday night was awesome. Really impressed with the people who run and work at this place. Will be back more often going forward due to their reaction to a very minor oversight at best.“
“Apple Street Kitchen is a little, neighborhood gem. It’s slightly off the beaten track. After you discover it, I promise you’ll become a fan for life. They are known for using the freshest, locally sourced ingredients. They do try to refresh their menu every season. That way it stays current. Check them out if you’re looking for a cute breakfast or lunch place. They also have outdoor seating in their garden area in the warmer months.“
“I had my daughter's Bridal Shower at Charlie's of Lincroft on February 10th, 2024.Everything exceeded my expectations. The room was amazingly beautiful with the flower arrangements on the ceiling and over the fireplace. The food was delicious, and we received excellent service. (really more than the 5 stars allowed on google)The guests had a wonderful time and kept commenting on how beautiful everything looked. My daughter and guests were "blown away"!Thank you to Corey Hrubash and the staff for making the shower a huge success! My daughter was so glad I chose Charlie's for her special day.If you are looking for a venue for any event, do not hesitate to contact Corey at Charlie's. You will not be disappointed with anything. And you will be able to enjoy your special occasion, knowing everything will be handled properly.Thank you again to Corey Hrubash and staff!Suzanne PaolelloMother of the Bride-to-Be“
“Basic ambiance and noise level. Food was excellent. Main issue was service. On arrival we ware placed at a small table right by the entrance, which was quite chilly everytime the door was opened. Luckily the table next to us opened up and I asked to be moved - problem solved. The staff was a bit overly zealous wanting to clear dishes. I had a large salad, which I decided to save some of to have with my entree. Three different staff members tried several times to clear it even after being told I was saving it. When entrees arrived, my wife's was missing the main vegetable component. It took 10 minutes for them to finally be brought out. Oddly, when we were finished, the swift plate removal service was nowhere to be seen. So overall, enjoyable but some definite missteps by the staff at several levels. I will return though (everyone deserves a second chance).“
“Friendly little dinner. I can see why locals like it. It's convenient, quick, and relatively cheap. Everything was bland though. It still blows me away how easy it is for restaurants like this that can still undercook and underseason home fries. There is nothing special about this place. Just another average dinner. Also, it's cash only. That's not a problem. I'm just letting anyone know who reads this that, that's a thing.“
