This place is absolutely amazing. From the first bite, everything was packed with flavor and clearly made with care. The quality of the ingredients really stood out.
I ordered takeout this time, but next time I’ll definitely be dining in. I had the lomo de pollo, chaufa steak, and chaufa with shrimp and everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. I didn’t even need the ají verde because the food had so much flavor on its own.

Warique lives up to its namesake as a special place, a little off the beaten path in Belleville. The space is small but very cozy and felt very comfortable, but from the first bite of the appetizer, I knew something was definitely different about the person in the kitchen; each bite of the lomo confirmed it, and the tres leches removed any doubt that the chef was a rare talent. Warique is a charming Peruvian restaurant that feels cozy and welcoming. The server is attentive and knowledgeable, and the staff is accommodating. The food is amazing, delicious, and unique, with dishes like the Gem Salad, Ceviche, El Lomo, Patarashca, Tres Leche, and Lucma Pie. The empanadas and pulpo are also fantastic. The chef produces amazing food, and the flavors are incredible. The restaurant is a great spot for families, with a fully stocked changing table in the bathroom and booster seats available. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making for a wonderful dining experience. Warique is a spot that customers would definitely come back to, with many having already returned multiple times and never being disappointed.
