This is arguably the best deli I’ve been to in NJ. The sandwiches are so good. They prefer cash but they will take cards (besides Amex). Call and order ahead since they usually run a smaller staff and they can get busy.

I have catered from Mastriano’s several times now and each experience has been excellent. The food is great, and my guests have always given sincere praise. The staff is wonderful. They saved my most recent party when the onsite food vendor I had reserved cancelled on me less than 24 hours before the event. Mastriano’s put together a beautiful spread for me that was a total hit. I love them and will continue to make them my go-to!

Outstanding food as well as service! I had a few questions so I decided to call and mind you it was prime time for lunch around 12:30pm on a Thursday. My call was missed so I figure okay I'll call back in a few because they're understandably busy with the lunch rush. Less than a minute later I get a call back from Maria and she apologized for missing my call(that's rare these days that a business cares enough to return a missed call) she answered all of my questions in a patient tone(also rare these days) so helpful, kind and welcoming. My husband ordered the Ruthies Scooter with broccoli rabe added & I got the Butchie Boy on rye...EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS as well as FRESH!! I haven't had Mastriano's in over 20yrs since moving out of the area and it's just as good as I remember. I'll definitely be back many times and I obviously highly recommend anyone and everyone else to give it a try.

It’s hard to find a regular sandwich in the Montclair area that isn’t $20… this place has been exactly what I was looking for. the sandwiches are truly picture perfect and the folks that work there are so lovely. couldn’t ask for anything more.

The new owners are doing a great job! We ordered our usual #5 ,#31 and a chicken soup . Everything tasted great . I'm glad the new owners kept the same menu and ingredients. I hope they still have a catering menu. Love the penne vodka .

I have bought 3 briskets here. Each one was really well marbled and you can get special cuts like the point/nose and they trim it really well before you buy it. I smoked 2 of them and even with my amateur skill level they turned out really good and juicy. Their hot pastrami sandwiches are also solid. Nice staff and good service as well.

The best subs!!! Friendly staff and delivery drivers, and they use Boar's Head meats and cheeses... so very yummy!!!

New Jersey has a reputation for good delis, but this beats any I have ever been to and I’ve lived here my entire life. The sandwiches are worth every penny and have beyond generous portions. Folks are as nice as can be also. Calling ahead certainly helps as it is a popular spot (for good reason!)
