The food was fine...lunch time is very quiet at this restaurant so it wasn't its usual lively self. The biggest issue--and why I gave the restaurant 3 stars rather than four or five is that no coffee or tea is served here (and according to our waiter, hasn't been for the last six months). I had asked for cappucino--and after being told they didn't have it, the waiter said no coffee or tea was availa ble. Pretty shocking for a restaurant in this area.
The food was great but not the in house tip charge.

This used to be my favorite restaurant in Bloomfield. I’m not sure if it’s under new management or new kitchen staff - it’s changed. It’s no longer available on door dash and they don’t answer the phone. They messed up my order. The steak Sandwich was my favorite item, and unfortunately it’s no longer pieces of real steak; it’s a ground beef patty. For $24, no thanks.
Ordered a pizza for pick up and it was ready in Leas then 15 min. Cooked to perfection.

Love the eclectic selection of foods. The decor is very pleasing. It could be a little bit brighter for my liking but overall a great place.
Definitely try their cocktails. I didn't get to try their desserts because I got so full on the appetizers and big sexy 2.0 Burger

Went for the brunch menu and turns out that they stopped at two months ago without publicizing it on their website. Food was OK atmosphere OK definitely nothing special.
So we didn't actually get to have brunch here, because they no longer serve it. The day we went, their coffee machine wasn't working as well so we just went to their “sister” restaurant next door. This was a mistake- we had been to The Brookdale before and Ladyfingers was on our list of places to try so we were okay with the change. The service was awful- everyone was very nice but it was beyond slow and not crowded. 30 minutes to get coffees and juices! Then they just completely forgot my father's breakfast and we had to ask for it twice. He ordered something that didn't require cooking so I'm not sure what the issue was. My husband and I tried to wait for his food to come out, so it's hard to tell if our food was just bad or if had been sitting so it wasn't great. They did take that off the bill and offered us something from the bakery case, but another employee made us feel uncomfortable by picking up around us outside and staring us down. We were hanging out for awhile at our table because we were killing time before my dad had to go to the airport. It wasn't busy and we didn't complain about the slowness so I'm not sure why we were being made to feel uncomfortable. I'm surprised that the Brookdale is associated with this place and send people over there.
I went to the Brookdale for lunch and the food was good, the server was really sweet and bubbly, and the ambience was nice. If you are dining here, please try the chicken wings. They are delicious.
We've heard really great things about The Brookdale and spontaneously decided to have dinner Saturday night. We were able to reserve a table which was great and it was ready when we arrived. The ambiance is cute, lower lighting, bar with tvs and sort of a chic industrial vibe. It took a while for our server to greet us but service was decent overall. The food and cocktail menus themselves get you excited because they do offer unique options in addition to traditional options as well. The food was good overall but nothing to write home about (& a portion of one entree was burnt which was disappointing). The cocktails were also average.
No ac on one of the hottest days of the year, let us know in advanced. Would have been better if the staff were attentive. From one restaurant owner to another you need more quality control

We have been dining at The Brookdale since they opened, and this was the most disappointing experience so far. The restaurant was not busy, but the wait staff was very lackadaisical and it felt like we were an inconvenience to them. All of the food was so salty, even my salad. So salty that I couldn't eat most of it. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. Hopefully it was just a bad day...
This was our first time at Brookdale. The entree food was the best part - everything was well-seasoned / flavorful. Everything else was a bit lacking unfortunately. Drinks? They told my dad they had iced tea and proceeded to bring him a glass of iced water and a tea bag. Food took a while to come out, and while our server was polite, he wasn't very knowledgeable about the menu. It was very loud, so we spent a lot of the meal trying to hear each other. I think this place probably shines for sports watching in the bar over beer and wings, but I wouldn't return for family dinner.
We had a 4:30pm reservation and arrived around 4:15. Our table was not ready yet so the host said we can wait by the bar, and they would come get us when the table was ready. Both bartenders were just standing there, and we had to wait 5 minutes to be greeted. Once our table was ready it was about 5:00pm at this point. 30 minutes past our reservation time. Our server did not greet us for 15 minutes as he was seated a party of 8 and ignored us the ENTIRE visit for the large party. He forgot to put in our appetizer and kids' meal for our son. We waited 45 minutes for a pretzel and kids' cheeseburger. Finally, the HOST not even our server asked us if we wanted a drink refill. After the appetizer and kids' meal came out my husband and I had to wait 30 minutes for our entrees. The server did bring out chips and dip for us for the inconvenience but that was after we already ate, and we were no longer hungry. We would have rathered a desert or some of the meal compensated. All of the food was very good. But it was probably the WORST service we have ever received. The two hosts were the only friendly attentive part of the staff.
Food was excellent. Our server was Victor and he was fantastic. The only complaint id have is they sat us right by the front door where people were walking in and right below the speaker where the music was way too loud. It was Mother's Day and they should have been playing quieter more gentle music rather than loud club/disco. There was also plenty of seating outside and that would have been much better.
I've been to The Brookdale a few times and have always enjoyed the experience. On my most recent visit, I was a bit disappointed. First, I was looking forward to my favorite, the White Pizza, and while it was listed on its online menu, it was not available on the menu in house. Second, we ordered the Pastrami Rueben Quesadilla and while crispy, none of the cheese was melted and the middle was cold. Finally, while the dressing on the Greek Salad was “very good” it was terrible value having spent $46 for two salads with grilled chicken. I want to give this spot another chance as it's been a previous favorite, but not for a while.
