Decided to try The Wooden Spoon after looking at their menu. Came with a group of 8. The hostess, waitress, and bartender were very friendly & accommodating to our party. The reason for 3 out of 5 stars is because the food wasn't consistent. I ordered the brisket bites and loaded mac and cheese (pulled pork). The loaded mac was AMAZING. I could have eaten it all myself. The brisket bites were tasty and had good flavor, but the fat on the brisket was a bit too gelatinous for me. I also ordered the Nashville hot fried chicken. It is not like real Nashville hot chicken and quite frankly should not be named so. It was decent at best. It was too sweet, which is the opposite of what hot chicken should be. The mac n cheese that came with the entree was different than the appetizer mac n cheese, which was watery and disappointing. Overall we spent about $85 for two appetizers and two entrees. I'd give this place a second chance only if I was in the area.

I adore this spot! They have great dishes, their menu is large, The chef in that place is very experienced, I love very much trying all their dishes. The dishes are always of high class, the attitude towards the clients is efficient. I often go to this restaurant and I not even once was disappointed. I recommend it to all my friends.

Servers were nice and they had a good small menu with interesting options. Had the glazed bacon slab and brisket sandwich. Both were made well. Husband had the chicken and waffles, it was very good made me wish I'd ordered it too.
They serve large dishes and for reasonable pricing. very welcoming staff members. Keep it up.
