“Ikko Japanese Restaurant is one of the best restaurants in the area. Their food is fresh and there chefs are imaginative. My family and I sat at the sushi bar and Jack. The sushi chef served us. The food was high-quality and delicious, Jack takes pride in his work, service was excellent. I highly recommend Ikko.“

“I usually don’t write reviews but this is my new go to sushi spot. The food was excellent, spicy mayo was so creamy and delicious! For 3 rolls, soup and an appetizer for $31! Prices are reasonable, the employees were friendly and welcoming. I will be back!“

“Excellent Sushi 🍣 and Sashimi & Japanese Cuisine Restaurant!! Open year round on the Barrier Island 🏝️ in Lavallette NJ. Large indoor seating areas and outdoor dining starting soon! (When the 🌞 weather warms up) Hibachi food as well and Specialty Menu & Awesome Appetizers delivered by a robot 🤖! Alvin and entire staff are wonderful at Hoshino! Their other restaurant- Blue Sushi 🍱 🍣 located at the Northern end of Lavallette opens up around Memorial Day and Hopping all summer long!! “Yum! Usually only do take out here, but their sushi is fantastic. Have never been disappointed. Try the sweetheart roll or surprisingly enough, if you are craving something with a bit of mango with a nice tuna- try the Mexican roll! Both creative and pleasing to the taste buds. Will continue to order here and try new rolls“

“Best place for sushi at the Shore. Expect a wait on peak days/times, but they do a great job accommodating everyone they can. In addition to sushi they have hot dishes like yakisoba noodles, etc too. They have a large outdoor patio where most of the seating is, plus they have a lawn games area so you can amuse yourself playing cornhole or what have you.“

“My wife and I patronize our favorite restaurants, usually for a specific dish that they serve that is better than similar dishes offered elsewhere. Every Thursday we go to Szechuan Tokyo specifically for the Negimaki, the Japanese dish consisting of broiled strips of beef marinated in teriyaki sauce and rolled with scallions. While it is not equal to the Negimaki to which I was accustomed when living in New York, it is the best to be found anywhere around this neck of the woods. Since it is BYOB, we usually stop at the Foodtown, located in the same strip mall, to pick up a bottle of Sake Wine to complement our meal. The service here is excellent - very friendly, fast, courteous, and efficient. The salad and miso soup, which are included with the meal, are always fresh and very tasty. My wife and I each get a California Roll, which is also quite good, as an appetizer before eating the Negamaki entrée. Every course arrives at the table at just the right time - never rushed. Best of all, the prices are extremely reasonable for such an enjoyable dining experience.“

“We came in Wednesday night for my mom's birthday. From start to finish was a great dinner. Chef Mike and our waitress Abby made everything wonderful. They were so polite, always friendly and so attentive. They made my mom feel so special. The food was absolutely delicious and of course Chef Mike did an amazing job while cooking. We will absolutely be returning.“
