Nice staff, quick service and good ice cream! I like their chocolate dipped waffle cone with chocolate and vanilla swirl.

We had the pleasure of eating Kohrs in December! The added seasonal flavor of candy cane twist was amazing. It's creamy and minty and just all around delicious. It wasn't crowded (due to being off season) and the store was clean and service was excellent.

It's not summer without soft serve, and it's not a beach trip without ice cream! I had heard about Kohr Bro for some time now, but given my limited trips to the shore, I hadn't had the chance to try it. We finally made our way there on a recent trip to Cape May! I appreciated their later hours, so we stopped by after a beach picnic and were surprised and pleased to find a pretty small line. The company has been around for a while, and you can tell they have their process and menu down-pat. It's a fairly small menu, but I loved the variety of options for soft serve outside your typical vanilla and chocolate. My husband and I both went with coffee / caramel twist cones, although we were intrigued by the peanut butter / chocolate combo! The quality of the custard was spot on - so creamy and delicious, but not overly decadent that it's sickeningly sweet. It's the perfect beach treat! I do wish you could mix and match flavors (would have loved a peanut butter / vanilla or caramel / vanilla option). And I wish the price wasn't so high ... although I am not overly surprised at prices in tourist locations such as Cape May and for places as "historic" as Kohr Bro. Our custard cones were the perfect end to the day, and I would definitely recommend Kohr Bro to any ice cream fans wanting high quality ice cream in a nostalgic shop. We will definitely be back (and I won't complain about the price again, haha - worth the money)!

From the first time I saw Kohr Custard at Cape May, it's a must during each visit. I remember as a child when my parents use to take us to Coney Island, that is where Kohr started and where I tasted my first cone. An old institution of Coney Island when it was there, but sad no more. But lucky in Cape May and New Jersey. There is nothing like Custard to compare to Ice Cream. A Big Difference. The dense and creaminess of the treat. My favorite in cone is Chocolate. My favorite in cup Vanilla/Chocolate. Nothing except that. No coating or sprinkles. Plain. I always attempt to have it on the first or second afternoon down in Cape May. Wish it was close to home again. Thank you Kohr
I never seen any ice cream place who charge you $1 for the sprinkles. It’s not about $1 it’s about the protocols. Ripoff

I got a small coffee/caramel twist cone and it was a ton of ice cream, plenty big for an adult. The coffee had a great flavor and the caramel was nice and mild in flavor, more vanilla-forward and not too sweet.I got my cone dipped in chocolate and the chocolate was super low quality and really disappointing. I will go with chocolate sprinkles next time. The line moved really fast and the person helping us was sooo nice and helpful!

It was expensive but very good. (Just about everything is pricy in Cape May we would soon discover). We had a small cone with vanilla dipped in chocolate. Oh so good! (The small is like a medium in size elsewhere).

Best ice cream custard I’ve ever had. And I’m an ice cream connoisseur so that’s saying something!
