It baffles me that I lived in Cape May for years and never gave McGlade's a review. Location is sensational and the food is even better. If I could only have one breakfast for the rest of my existence, it would be a McGlade's omelette (I wouldn't be able to chose just one). This place is an institution and I hope it never fades away. One day I'll be back, I promise. 10/10 would highly highly recommend.
Returned to Cape May after several years and made it a point to eat lunch at McGlade's on the Pier. Everything was as good as I remembered: cheerful staff, delicious food (I had a tuna melt with fries and carrot cake), and lovely view of the beach from a screen-covered porch allowing the refreshing sea air to add to the refreshing effect. Server was very pleasant and efficient, juggling several tables with ease. I will definitely return on my next trip to Cape May.

Some food might be overpriced but that is not uncommon for Cape May. Great atmosphere and very nice staff.
