I I was very disappointed with the food. I specifically asked for the fish to be crispy, but it wasn’t prepared that way. The fish itself was not tasty, and I was especially disappointed because I intentionally ordered two different types of fish to try something new. Unfortunately, both had a very strong spice flavor, similar to turmeric, which I personally don’t enjoy and don’t consider a typical seasoning for fish. The vegetables were also undercooked...
Our server patty was amazing. We have a special Needs son Who can be difficult at timesAnd she showed us the utmost patience. She even made sure to accommodate his restricted diet. The food was delicious. The service was fantastic.
We have now been to Mermaids for breakfast and lunch multiple times over the last 3 years. The service is always good, food is good, and they accommodate our large party of 16 people with a smile. This year the power went out right after we ordered. Patti and Brian were so apologetic even though the power was out all over Cape May. We got all our food minus the waffles.
