We had high hopes for the menu at Ocean 7 and thought our food was decent, but not amazing. Our cocktails were much sweeter than their recipes call for. Overall, it was just an ok experience.
Atmospere and service was very nice. Our food was a mix - the tuna tartare had a slimy coat on it that was distasteful, but the charred pears and shrimp cocktail were quite good. Entrees included the chicken, trigger fish, and a salad with salmon filet. The salmon and chicken were delicious. The trigger fish could have been a very nice entree, but it was oversalted. Overall, we enjoyed the experience and will give Ocean 7 another try.
We've tried a lot of cape May Restaurants and all the years that we've been coming to Cape May so when we saw ocean seven we said we'd give it a try and we were very pleased. The food was excellent our waitress Kathy was amazing so accommodating she was such a joy to have as a waitress. She made some great recommendations... it was my birthday and they gave me free dessert flourless chocolate cake with a candle, which was delicious. I would definitely go back. Please...
