About Fish House
Fish House Reviews
Poor service, non-existent. The owners need to see what’s really going on here. Teach your employees how to be servers if that’s what their roll is.
We went to the Fish House for lunch last week. Our waitress was knowledgeable, friendly and customer-focused. Everyone enjoyed their lunch. Our party had e-gift cards. I had to walk, phones in hand, with our waitress to the back of the restaurant for her to manually key them in...just silly. There has to be a better, more efficient way, Fish House.
The food was barely C-. The service was excellent. My wife's crabcake was slightly bigger than a 1/2-dollar coin--In my opinion it was way overpriced. I was glad our house guests were paying for the dinner. I will never go back to this restaurant due to the outrageous prices and small portions.
Menu
Located on Sunset Beach, Fish House offers typical grill food with outdoor seating. The restaurant is smaller but very accommodating and cozy, featuring heat lamps for cooler days. The service is friendly and has been noted to be excellent and fast, which contributes to a pleasant dining experience. The porkroll sandwiches are amazing, and the chicken avocado sandwich has received high praise, with one customer calling it delicious. The Black Bass sandwich is exceptional, especially when served on freshly toasted marble rye bread; it's recommended to order the sauce on the side. Guests have been impressed overall with their food and service, and the beautiful Bay views enhance the ambiance.
Customers are encouraged to order before 7pm to avoid missing the veterans memorial ceremony. While some have noted the absence of chowder or soup during colder months, they appreciate the atmosphere for enjoying a sunset dinner. The Boylan soda from across the street pairs well with the food. Overall, Fish House is a nice spot to grab a quick meal after a day at the beach, similar in quality to Five Guys, and is a must-visit location in Cape May.
