Always love the Lobster House, been going for years. Ate at the Raw Bar. Had the grilled swordfish with lemon butter, side of fries and corn on the cob. Fish was cooked perfectly and the corn was nicely cooked, not mushy.

Was a rainy day after Labor Day so was slow, but still loved eating on the deck looking at the water and boats.

Exceptional seafood and prices! We went for a special dinner and were thoroughly impressed. Clam appetizer, seafood mix over pasta, calamari-all excellent.

Six of us arrived and were quickly seated. Lots of noisy, crying tots around us even though only quiet, well behaved kids are allowed. Next time we will opt for a better view/ table. Food was okay but not spectacular but that could be my entree of Baked Stuffed Flounder. Prices seemed okay.

Long wait to get in. But quick service once seated and the best seafood in town!

Stopped over for supper on a boat ride through the area. Food was excellent as was the atmosphere. The service was very good all the way up until we paid the bill and were leaving the restaurant.
The waitress hurried up to us and stated that we had done our math wrong and had meant to leave her a larger tip. We tipped 18% initially and she would not take that for an answer and insisted it be changed while we stood in the pathway of other customers and wait staff. We were strong armed into paying a 30% tip before she walked away with our revised bill.

NEVER have we been strong armed by a waiter/waitress for a larger tip. It is unthinkable that someone not paying tax on their tips would force a customer to change the amount before allowing them to leave.

UPDATE
Spoke with the manager (Luke) and explained this incident and he immediately apologized and refunded the entire tip amount and said he was going to reprimand the waitress as this was totally not acceptable. Luke advised he was also going to send a gift card to us for a future visit as well do stop at this location when in town.

Thank you Luke

It is a great place to eat , they have a big dining room on the second floor for large groups, my coach company uses them .

Went here for lunch, atmosphere and service were fine. Food was average at best. I had a crab cake sandwich which looked like a frozen crab croquet I could have purchased at the supermarket. My partner had a turkey club sandwich and said it was prepared dry without and mayo or dressing of any sort. Disappointed and won't go back again.

Food was not good. Bacon was raw on scallops. Salad looked like it was left out all day. Crab cakes had no taste and French fries were cold. Service was great.

Food was good. But I have had better. Had the stuffed shrimp with crab. It came out barely warm. The stuffing wasn't the best I've had. Clam chowder was good, but mine only had a few pieces of clams. The hamburger was very good. They really need a uniform make over. Service from Dave was very good.

This place blew us away. Cozy, sea inspired feel and deco. The food was great, lobster bisque was incredible (our regards to Chef John). Emily provided one of the best services we've experienced; she was delightful, attentive, professional + graceful timing. This was definitely a highlight of our trip to Cape May 🤍

We have been going to the lobster house all our lives. Yesterday was so disappointing that it will be the last time I go there. Then today when I call to let them know it took the manager 12 minutes to get to the phone. Really, oh well if you want to be filled up I suggest you go to a diner at least you will leave filled and spend less.
