Visited on 4/30. We are locals and wanted to stop by for a quick lunch. Our godawful server was phill. He was very annoyed that we only wanted to order soup which he served with a used dirty spoon and stale crackers. No bread service no refills on drinks nothing. He definitely needs to go back to training and learn patience and customer service. We used to visit the LH all the time but the service and food quality has surely gone downhill. It's nothing but tasteless frozen seafood that for some reason the out of towners seem to not mind. Locals know this place is not it

The Lobster House Specialty is divine! The staff is friendly and efficient. The ambiance is wonderful. The smell of salty sea air and the fresh catch of the day sets the mood. This place is our favorite spot to eat dinner whenever we come to Cape May.Parking: Plenty of on-site parking.Kid-friendliness: The kids will love to eat outside and look at the boats in the Marina.

Took my wife here for her 50th and she really enjoyed it. Broiled flounder was really well done while the Lobster house specialty platter was super duper. Lobster, shrimp and scallops over a bed of linguini. I never had scallops so good! Our server Wendy was so nice and pleasant.

This is possibly the go to restaurant to satisfy your lobster cravings. It is worth the wait if you didn’t make reservations. They have so many choices available that it’s not easy to decide. Had to start with clam chowder soup followed by fried shrimps before the main course lobsters. If you’re in Cape May, go and check it out.Dietary restrictions: Reach out to your waitressParking: Restaurant has his own parking for customersKid-friendliness: Kids are welcomeWheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair access

Dined alone at the bar. Excellent experience, friendly staff, delicious meal.Bread service—top notch. Warm garlicky loaves served with a big ball of spreadable butter. A crispy simple salad. Crazy delicious seafood pasta with scallops, shrimp, and lobster tails. Some of the reviews I read called this a tourist trap with meh food but that was 100% not my experience. It was a lovely evening with great service and tasty food.If I could change one thing it would be the server uniforms. They’re distractingly weird. Please let those hard-working women wear normal waitstaff clothes.

We have been coming here for many, many years. It was a staple for us. In the recent years the quality has gone down tremendously. Lots of short cuts with quality of the food. The shrimp tastes like it came from the sewer, the clam chowder potatoes are mushy like they have been frozen and thawed with just traces of clam to be found. Portions are small and prices are high. My least favorite thing is that they never offer vegetable sides other than a potato. No green veggies, or fresh veggies for the take out menu of any kind. I’m looking for nice food with a veggie, and I am willing to pay for that and good quality. That said, my main problem is that the food has just been awful- Regaurdless of anything else. It’s gotten bigger there, but certainly not better. After all these years will not be back and would not recommend. It’s a tourist trap only. Bland food and very low quality, if any. Not sure if anything actually comes from the ocean in Nj, or just from a frozen bag.

Took food to go, but the combo special is great. It must be a special for the locals during the winter months because I don't see it in the summer

The Cape May Scallops were good and well cooked, although under-seasoned and the sauce bland. I would have liked more of a selection for vegetables. The milkshake for dessert was delicious. Atmosphere was dark and dated. And the uniforms for the serving staff should be updated. The female staff looked like they worked at Scoops Ahoy from Stranger Things!
