Really cool old hotel. Lots going on. Restaurant on site is ok. Service was great. There’s also a blues bar on site which is pretty cool. There is a nice sitting area in the lobby. You can grab a drink at the outside bar, or from the restaurant and hang out in the lobby. It’s like being on a movie set because everything is so of a period in time. Location is excellent as it’s right in town adjacent to the Washington Street Mall. The rooms are old of course but they are nicely appointed with Wi-Fi etc. Beds are super comfortable. I would stay there again.

The staff was wonderful and the bed was extremely comfortable. Wish there would have been a coffeemaker in the room. The hotel was located in an excellent area. The beach was great ! The outdoor festivities were great !

This was a surprise to celebrate my sister’s 80th birthday and my 85th. Well, we were really surprised when we pulled into a parking lot to a two storie building with 18 steps to our room. We had to carry our own luggage. The room was so damp and cold, everything in the room was damp. We had to iron our sheets to dry them out, both nights. There was no walk in shower, no elevator. The door in the bedroom looked like someone had kidded it in, the trim was all broken. The window in the bedroom had a gap at the bottom, you could see outside. My neice ordered a tray of cheese and grapes to our room(#25) and it never came. That’s what we got for 900.00 a nite. My niece said we were supposed to be on first floor, but reservationist never wrote it down. We didn’t get to stay in Congress Hall, I think this was the over flow.

Had the best weekend with 2 of my girlfriends at CH! We are in our thirties and enjoyed lounging at the pool, drinking a the multiple bars onsite and on our room balcony, and being able to easily walk to the beach and downtown. CH is the best!

Congress Hall is a high-end experience with nods to tradition and the nostalgia of a beach vacation. The storytelling of Cape Resorts and their packaging of all their properties with different elements ensures a magical and complete experience on your trip One note- this is a high end, but historical resort. If that isn’t your thing. They do a fabulous job of taking care of the old beauty though. The staff is clearly trained in hospitality and it shows in all they do. Max at the pool is particular is a fan favorite! I never miss a late night singalong in the Brown Room, watching a game in the Boiler Room (one irk was they insisted every tv be on the same game on a college football Saturday), great chair on the beach and reading with a coffee in the rocking chairs. I look forward to returning every year for the traditions and hospitality offered throughout everything Cape Resorts touches.

Is it a bit dated? Yes. Is it expensive? Yes. But it is a perfect location and the staff is always helpful. The pool is great, the atmosphere just wonderful. If they do some repairs, 5 stars as location, location, location. Pull in, valet the car and just relax!

A lovely old hotel, full of character, history and a great lawn. Found it very relaxing to sit on the porch or lawn area and just relax and enjoy what this historic hotel has to offer. Disappointed that we weren't able to take the tour but will make it a priority next time we visit Cape May. The Falcon and her handler was out the Saturday evening we were there and it is amazing to watch.

Our family of 6 had a wonderful stay in a super clean family friendly environment! The upgraded pool area was wonderful. The staff was friendly. The chair service on the beach was helpful. The towel service at the pool and beach were also great! We will be back again & hopefully we’ll stay longer

Very cute little coffee shop. The serve La Colombe. I got a small caramel iced latte with almond milk. There is an adorable courtyard you can sit down and enjoy your coffee or breakfast. We would recommend and return.

A lovely old hotel, full of character. A top floor room facing the ocean is recommended. Being up early enough to see the sun rise was well worth it. The tour also was interesting. A lot of history in this place.

I’ve been going to Congress Hall in December for years. It costs a fortune but I don’t care. The beds are fabulous, the breakfasts are excellent, the coffee is Le Colombe (delicious). I feel like this year the staff was even friendlier than ever. The valet that took care of us is so nice, knowledgeable and efficient. Our stuff was in our room before we even checked in. The hostesses and wait staff at the Blue Pig were lovelier than normal. The coffee person at the cafe was sweet as ever. Every single person we met that worked there was happy. Hospitality is a tough business. What a wonderful week! Can’t wait to go back!
