Been coming here for over 15 years and it’s still my local favorite Japanese style restaurant. Food is consistently good, both sushi and kitchen. Menu hasn’t changed much over the years but that’s fine, as they stay true to their strengths. A wholehearted nod to their traditional Japanese and Asian fusion flavors. Great little story: more than 20 years ago I found myself inexplicably single (lol) and walked into Mitsuba (Chatham) just as it opened — I might have been their second-ever customer. I scanned the menu and wanted a lot of sushi, but not the Full “Love Boat.” I told them, “I’m not in love, and that’s too much food. Can I get something about half the size and half the price?”

Had eel was very good…I walked in when staff was eating in the main area. They were good. But you can’t eat and help customers.
