“My husband took me out to Philly for an early Mother’s Day gift. He said we were going to a “speakeasy” type bar in Chinatown but I didn’t believe him. When we got to an iron screen door, he was like this is it and I was like you got to be kidding me. The owner came out, asked my husband if he knew it was a cash bar took our ids then went inside. The owner brought back our ids then took us inside to a foyer where he told us the rules of the bar. Cash only, absolutely, no photography and no phones. If you need to take a phone call, you go back to foyer area or outside to not disturb people. We agreed to rules and went inside. The bar was dimly lit with candles on each table. The decor was amazing with pictures and antiques on the wall. We were sat at a table and given a cocktail menu. The cocktails were unique and separated by whiskey, gin, vodka and rum. If you need a light since it is so dim in the bar, they will bring you a light because they brought one to my husband. There were no beers on the menu so if that is what you’re looking for then this isn’t the place for you. We ordered our cocktails and they were amazing. Since there is no phone usage, you have more of an intimate experience with the person you are with because you aren’t distracted by your phone. We sat and talked while drinking our drinks. The owner came over and asked us about our drinks and how we were doing. We then ordered another round of drinks and continued talking. We enjoyed our time at Hop Sing Laundromat. Service was great, bartenders were great, owner was great, and the ambiance was amazing. This is a great date night spot for anyone who wants to enjoy a intimate setting with a cocktail or two. I would post pictures but again, No Photography so you would have to go in order to see it to believe it. You will enjoy this experience and not be disappointed.“

“We went here for lunch. I ordered the lunch special which comes with two small banh mi, pho, and a drink. My husband the bun thit nuong dish. I had beef pho and ginger beer. The flavors were very good and authentic. The banh mi bread itself was crunchy and airy, very reminiscentnt of breads found in Vietnam. The banh mi spread was a bit spicy (surprisingly) when I shared it with my toddler. Overall, good Vietnamese food for a bar lounge.“

“The space is simply gorgeous, so well done, and their menu was very fun. Drinks are really interesting but mine ultimately wasn't very delicious, just different. It was so loud and very cold inside which made it tough to relax and hang out.“

“I visited El Patio Cafe Restaurant for the first time. I ordered the chocolate milkshakes with whipped cream and cherries for me and my daughter. It was so light and airy, affordably priced for the container size. The environment is warm and inviting with a small seating area to accommodate ten people, in case you are waiting on your order to be completed. Speaking of orders, the menu displays a variety of multicultural foods and they are affordable for the budget-conscious eater. Overall, I highly recommend El Patio Cafe Restaurant as my go-to neighborhood eatery for good eats and sweet treats. If you are reading this review and you are not local to the South Philadelphia area, I suggest you check them out with a friend.“

“Amazing selection of cocktails and the vibe is fun in the bar. We got the soup dumplings, chicken stir fry, and the shrimp tempura and ate and left no bites. A great intimate spot for friends or a date:) The service was incredibly efficient and nice.“

“The food was good, the salad bar was plentiful with a good variety, our server was very professional but the place was dirty! Cig butts by entrance, old original stained carpeting, dust all over the counters/bookshelves. I was concerned to even eat there tbh. I heard they remodeled but I didn't see how🤷♀️“
“I ordered curry goat and received a platter that looks like chunks of oxtail lamb chops I think. The below pic cannot possible be curry goat! To top it off I called to express my dissatisfaction and was hung up on twice.. I will never spend another dollar with this business!“

“Me & my girlfriends came here 4 a few drinks, We did order some food, All there food R very good, I had a Fish Whitting Platter wth String Beans, & Mac & Cheese, it was so delicious. My girlfriend had there Chicken with French Fries she said it was very good, It a nice chill spot, it dnt get crowded @ all.....I will definitely be back to buy there food here, They sell SeaFood here to.“
“I didn’t even know it was open as I walked but until a patron said you should go in for a drink. I was very glad I did. If you are not put off by the fact this is primarily a local spot for folks from the neighbourhood then the other patrons and staff was friendly. Beer was $2.50 a bottle and a shot of Hennessy was $5. The shots look small to the eye but are measured with their auto dosing system. A great value night cap on the way back to my hotel.“
“They wings are good my only problem I have with them is they never open when they suppose to be open it says 12 and they literally don’t open til 12:30 almost 1 my break at 12 so I be wanting to order at 12 they need to do better with the time they open“

“We spent a very enjoyable Saturday night in Bar Code for a friend's birthday. The food was fantastic - be adventurous and try the tripe and chicken gizzards, they were delicious. Great selection of food including vegetarian and vegan. Good selection of drinks at reasonable prices. staff were friendly and welcoming, they went out of thier way to make a great night.“
