This place was recommended for a large party I was hosting. Im glad I chose another venue. The service was ok. The venue inside is nice, i guess.

When we were there (Friday night), it was dead. We livened it up.

I'm guessing that the low lighting is set up this way so you can't see your food or read the bill. The marqurita was served in a very, very, very, very tiny glass. I ordered two to make up for awful food. Two of the four of us sent our food back @$263+tip! All but one of us actually thought the food wasn't terrible. I ordered the linguine and claim sauce, which I returned because it literally looked like it came from out of a can. I tasted about 1/2 a teaspoon it didn't taste much better. I never, ever return food to the kitchen. I then ordered the penne pasta to go. It tasted almost like macaroni and cheese from a Kraft box. Except Kraft is actually better. Even my spouse, who isn't as picky, passed on it after trying it. I finally threw it in the garbage. It was yuck!

How this place is rated as 4.5 is a mystery to me. I think most folks either aren't particular or dont know what great italian food taste like, or they ordered something else the FOUR of us didn't. Maybe the chef called out for the day. Either way. I can cook way better Italian than this. Bottomline, this was the worst Italian food I have ever had well ever...from NJ/NY to Italy!

I should have chosen Marios Tutto Bene in Union. Their food and drinks are excellent. I catered an event with Mario's. If you have discriminating taste buds, just don't!

Some advice: If your food is terrible, it should at least be cheap. Tsk Tsk

Two of us got sick after eating here. They refunded my meal. The waiter talked politics, which is never a good idea when they have TDS.

11-26-2024: We had our pre-Thanksgiving dinner there. The crab cake was disappointing, but everything else was EXCELLENT!! A special thank you to our server, Jasmine, she was awesome, friendly and professional.

I have been to Bella Italia for both private dinners and banquets - Bella Italia delivers. Sal and his staff go over and above to serve some of the best Italian food with a delightful staff accomodating all needs whether special dietary requirements or just delicious dishes. Just yesterday I put together a cousins get together for 20 and most have never been there before coming from New York Pennsylvania and Jersey shore All left Raving and wanting to come back for more and bring rest of family from all over US to share in Bella Italia hospitality. We had family style meal with apps of antipasto meatballs house salad and stuffed artichokes - pasta was cavatelli and broccoli and entrees of salmon, veal Marsala chicken francaise and eggplant rollatine Finishing with delectable Italian pastries plus. Perfect. Great variety well presented and service with a smile Thanks Sal. You and your team are the best.
PS I already just booked a dinner for about 60 for my men’s group for return visit where I am restaurant chair. Mangia

An institution in Orange. Great Italian food.

Parking: There is a good amount of parking which does fill up at busy times. Decent street parking for the overflow.

10 years ago I celebrated my 40th birthday here. I enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and service so much, I returned to celebrate our queen's 85th birthday. Sal made everything easy. He made himself available before, during, and after the event. If you're looking for perfection, go to Bella Italia. Thank me later. ?

I recently catered food from Bella Italia Restaurant at Orange, NJ. The owner is Sal. He is wonderful. The food was delicious and the family thoroughly enjoyed all the food. Delivery was on time and the food was plentiful The service given by Sal, the owner, was professional and good. The price and quality of food is excellent. I highly recommend Bella Italia for food catering. The chicken scarapiello and stuffed shells are great. Highly recommend this place.

My husband and I had a 125 guest law school graduation party here about a month ago.

Sal and his team made our day absolutely perfect. Sal was very attentive with the planning leading up to the event, let us set up a day before, and tore down the event and had our decorations boxed for us ready to go the next AM. Our guest count and needs fluctuated quite a bit from the day we placed our deposit up until the week before the event. However, Sal was very patient and kind with the changes that happened over time.

The food was wonderful, our family and friends were raving about the cake days later, and we had an open-bar (the bartender was great). My husband and I will be hosting all of our events here in the near future. Huge shout out to Sal and his team once again for executing the most perfect event.
