It's gone. They have been closed for years, and we're pretty crap when open. Service was not great and food came out meh, as if nobody really cared

Great experience. Friendly staff! We needed a hotel for a layover in Newark airport. We were able to book on the same day and do a late check out to have enough time to rest and recover before our next flight. Will come again. Thank you Holiday Inn Clark - Newark Area ?

They charged me for reservation that I canceled a while ago. Been trying to get ahold of hotel and their general manager and left multiple messages, but no one is getting back to me. Escalated this matter to corporate offices of holiday inn and hope they’ll resolve and reimburse unlawfully taken charge

Read some reviews before posting and said up to date? Maybe I got an old room but it was clean but very outdated . Paint peeling rusty hinges and crappy tub/shower. We just stayed for a quick sleep but wouldn't want to stay more than that. Breakfast was bad and no juice or milk and bacon was all burnt. For $300 US I feel it's not worth it but United scarelines will pay. That's the next review.

Very smooth and polite check-in, and let us leave our car at the front door while we unloaded the sleeping children up to the room. Beds were very comfortable and clean. Carpet shows it's wear, and bathtub had a rust spot around drain. But bathroom and bedroom felt clean. Easy to use controls on the window AC/heat unit. Breakfast (kids ate free) was pretty good; tater tots a little too dried out. But we were thankful the kids could immediately upon waking up. We also loved using the tabletop games down in the restaurant/lobby. This was a completely serviceable, good, friendly hotel to have right near where we needed to go the next day. Would absolutely stay here again the next time we pass through.

Best guest service experience, close to local attractions, good food, nice pool. Everyone on the whole staff was dedicated to customer service and did an amazing job. They have a restaurant with a bar, and an amazing young lady who works at the bar every day of the week.

I stayed at this Hotel and I can say it was excellent. My room was clean and up to date. They have a bar for drinks. They have a cafe for food if you don't want to leave great snacks food if you want it. Then if you want to go out you can walk or drive to a shopping center with stores and restaurants to take care of all your needs. And the best part is it's right off the Garden State Parkway. And last but not least the staff is awesome and helps you in all your needs. Check it out you will like it.

I booked a night at this hotel for a birthday celebration, and stupidly selected the wrong date. That's my bad! I was still going to go, but I called the hotel and was relieved to hear that they would cancel and refund me -- this was because they were already sold out of the date I needed. I then booked a different hotel in the area and stayed there -- the Comfort Inn was excellent and a great alternative! Lo and behold, Holiday Inn Clark still charged me for the night. I tried calling them multiple times (4 times!) to see what was up, and each time I got the same response: they needed to check with their back office manager and would call me back. Ok, great. Except they never called -- I suspect this is so that some people will forget about following up (Horrible customer service #1). I continued to call back however, and the manager got chippy with me and said I never cancelled, and they would be taking my money (Horrible customer service #2). He literally suggested to me to dispute the charge on my credit card. Basically, he said that they were sold out that night, and I was a no show, despite my calling ahead to cancel. Now, I rarely have had poor experiences with customer service on any company, so this is a first lol. I've also never written a 1-star review before. But this is too much. I've never had a hotel eat my money due to an error on their end before. The moral of this story is that you're better off spending your hard earned money elsewhere. Holiday Inn Clark has slimy business practices that simply want your money and offer awful customer service. I will NEVER spend another night at Holiday Inn Clark or any other Holiday Inn again. Sticking with the major chains like Hyatt and Marriot, where I have never been treated so poorly.

Great stay hotel is very clean the best beds and staff. The restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner good food. The bartender Cecilia is is very accommodating. The pool was very clean, a plus in this heat. Starts at the top the GM Kathy and her staff can’t do enough, thanks for the hospitality. I will be back.

We stayed here for a wedding and the group had over 20 rooms. He terrible service started at check in….we arrived a little early and were rudely told by 2 front desk woman that check in is at 3 co back in 30 minutes.this was Friday afternoon with an empty parking lot. Secondly after dinner I noticed my sister had checked because I saw her car in the lot so myself and mother asked what room she was in so we could call he and was again rudely quoted by both front desk men privacy policy instead of asking the name and calling hem and telling them .Thirdly I was told breakfast was included and when we sat down for breakfast an other rude employee came over and said VOUCHER where is your VOUCHER or give me you room number so we can charge you $15 each…front desk confirmed we didn’t have free breakfast…fourthly we went to the pool because all posted signs say open 11-9, yet poo, locked up…front desk said we open 12:30 and some one should on changed the sign with a sharpie…there was also several other items. I called parent company to complain and they spoke to the manager and said hey would call me in an hour…over 36 hours later and checked out and no one has called me back yet….parent company only offered me a few extra points and nothing else…DO NOT STAY HERE OR ANY OF THEIR PARTNER HOTELS…. Also no safe in the rooms

I understand that everyone can't please everyone, and I'm not going to praise the food here. I'm just going to give it five stars for good service.

I have been staying at this hotel once/month since the beginning of the year. I was there the second weekend in June and everything was fine. I had to make a trip back this past weekend and they changed their coffee policy. They no longer offer free coffee or tea for their guests. Time to find a new hotel when they can't even offer a little hospitality!
