Vanilla Bakery & Cafe is a clean and airy environment, open late for coffee and dessert. The Turkish coffee is excellent, not bitter, thick and strong. The latte is made perfectly, not scalding hot, with the right milk consistency. Their breakfast is delicious and reasonably priced. The baked goods and desserts are great, a favorite being the pistachio chocolate cake and the dubai pudding, though some find them a little too sweet, with the coffee helping to cut through that sweetness. Their specialty cakes, like the engagement cake and birthday cake, receive high praise for being light, soft, and not too sweet, with smooth and creamy frosting, elegant designs, and amazing, fresh taste. However, some food can be average, with vegetables close to wilting. The staff are generally very helpful and friendly, though at times they can seem unhappy and not very friendly. Parking is street parking and paid. Many customers are glad they tried it, consider it a find, and plan to return.
