“I loveeeeeeee Hornitos. I came with a group of 7. They have all the colombian bakery sweets. The place was remodeled and looks amazing. The waiters are super friendly. Bathrooms are clean. The food is amazing. We ordered a variety of things like: coffee, the breakfast sandwich (omelette, ham, cheese and bacon) with fries, patacon mixto (chicken, beef, lettuce, fries over tostones or fried plantains), chicken soup, empanadas and pan de bono. We went on a February weekday (Wednesday Lunch time) and the place was clean, well decorated for Valentine's. There was a good crowd and I can see that the staff were all busy doing something work related. Our waiter was attentive and although his English was limited , he still made an attempt. The food was good- Bandeja de Paisa never disappoints. I like how this dish is consistent whether I eat it at their Hackensack location or Englewood location. For the first time I tried their calamari. It was good and I like the sweet chili sauce (an homage to my Asian routes haha). Overall a good place to eat!“

She took such good care of us and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our time there. The food was very good and the portions are huge, definitely worth it. If you like small places with good food, you gotta stop by. Street parking only but there's enough parking and there's a city parking lot nearby.“

I was expecting somewhere I could sit and view the menu, but there was no menu posted anywhere on the wall and there didn't seem to be any menus that I could look at.What I really wanted was a breakfast sandwich, but seeing nothing at all that said those were available, I decided to order from the pastry case.There were so many items and not being familiar with Colombian food, I didn't know what to choose. I chose an empanada (ranchero), a hawaiian stuffed pastry, and a couple of buñuelos.The women behind the counter were friendly taking my order, heating the items up for me, and handing them over, but strangely dropped the smile and didn't say Thank you or goodbye when I said it to her. Even as I put tip in the tip jar, she didn't smile at me again. I thought that was a little bit strange.Once I got back to my car and resumed my commute to work, I tasted the food.Every single thing was DElicious! I've never had such flaky, lightly crisp empanadas and I love empanadas. The bunuelos were excellent and I loved the flavor of the cheese. The hawaiian pastry was a little weird because the sweetness of the pineapple contrasted with the savory cheese and ham in there, but I guess that's the point!I want to try the location that's a couple blocks over, to see if I can view their full menu. But definitely want to come back here and will sample more of their pastries!“

“Went on a Tuesday night. There's limited parking in the back but being on a corner, the access is uncomplicated. Plenty of outdoor seating, however not available on this night. Inside was comfortable and relaxing. I imagine it can get lively towards the weekend.
I ordered the whole fried snapper with salad, rice and beans. Excellent. Not overcooked, the fish was juicy and crispy, the way it should be.
Would definitely order again.“
