My Dad was originally from that area and was going there since it opened. He started taking us as a family and we lost him in 1989 at the age of 49. Mario’s is like hollowed ground for us and is the place we drive almost 4 hours to come to to be together as a family twice a year ❤️

Whenever I dont feel like cooking and instead of eating out, Mario's is the place. Its been open in clifton for at least 50 years, or maybe even longer. I love their chicken parm dinner and thier pizza is good too. I also live when they perform the plays in the back room. They're so much fun. An excellent show and the buffet provided is delicious.

Mario's Restaurant & Pizzeria is a friendly restaurant with a comfy interior featuring tables, booths, and a bar for drinks or watching a game. The food is tasty, with excellent pasta, including the baked ziti, Ravioli, Eggplant Parmesan, and Lasagna. The pizza is one of the best, with fresh toppings and a good crust, though some found it stingy with toppings. The sautéed vegetables are super delicious, and the vodka sauce is unreal. The meatball parm can be underwhelming, with two meatballs cut in half and lacking flavor. The service is nice, with great staff and an old school atmosphere. For over 30 years, families have celebrated birthdays and christenings here. The place accommodates large groups comfortably and efficiently. There is plenty of free parking in a big lot across the street. Overall, a delightful place with great Jersey ambiance.
