“Matthew 's Restaurant is 1 of the best restaurants in North NJ if NOT The Best. The food is always Delicious & Service is excellent. Beyond that, the atmosphere or aviance is excellent. The vibe & energy is first rate positive fun & culinary enjoyment. I believe that this fine dining experience is also driven by the owner Matthew who is usually in the restaurant greeting guests & helping out. When you visit Matthew's you'll have a great time and it'll feel like you're on mini-vacation from the stress of every day life while seemingly enjoying the warmth of family. “Definitely one of the most overwhelming and beautiful places that I’ve ever been to try sushi in my whole life, there’s no way to describe how good it was.
We wait a little more of what we expected.
But wait was worth it food was fresh, homemade and delicious, attention it’s def a 1000/10 you feel that you’re in your home, my 5yo daughter mentioned that she was being treated like her grandma treat her (so you can have an idea of how good they were) well, not many words to add.

“I had a private event in the Parlor Room and it was fabulous. Food and drinks were spot on and the service was dynamite. There were 21 of us all together and everyone was well cared for by server Lily and the rest of the awesome staff. I really love the unique atmosphere of the place -warm, classy and comfortable all at once. No boring old chain restaurant vibes here. Everyone had a great time. I would definitely host future events here.“

“Great burgers (as expected), but come here when they have the Colorado burger. One of the best burgers I've ever had. It was so good that I had to have a 2nd one immediately after finishing my 1st.
Just get the regular fries too. The cheese fries are pretty OK because the cheese sauce is not great. Also, the shakes are good but pretty expensive.“

It's easier to order if you can speak Spanish but the staff speak enough English that it's okay.

The special of the day is fantastic. I recommend the fish.

Parking: Street parking is easiest but you can probably park at the city lot down the street or at the post office if you have to.“

I’ve only ever tried their chaufa and chicken and it’s absolutely amazing. Their hot green sauce is hot so beware! Absolutely love this place and their drinks are a bit sweet but just a bit of water fixes the problem. The place is always packed, there was a time I went and the line was out till the door so definitely a popular spot amongst the people in the area. You will not be disappointed!“

“Very good chicken parm, prompt service and clean tables. Only downside is that because the place is small, conversations becomes noisy/loud quickly. Not the restaurant's fault, but diners should be mindful to other customers as we are all sharing the space. Other than that, I would come back.“
