“One of the workers gave me an extremely hard time about the dips that were included in my meal. I hadn’t ordered the food but someone else did so I only had a screenshot of part of the receipt. She said I needed the full receipt to confirm that I had multiple dips. Then after telling her I searched the entire bag, in a rude voice she said I had to bring the bag in to prove that there were no dips, as if I was lying. Then she put two dips in the bag, and then shoved the bag towards me. I told her I needed 4 more and she started laughing saying they were coming. On top of all of that they forgot my fries and I didn't even feel like going back in there. She was so extra and rude for no reason.“

“Tasty food. I had 4 flavors of boneless wings. KRISPY, Honey, Soy, and Cheese. I will say Honey was probably best followed by Soy. Cheese was very unique, like a cheese doodle, but it's chicken. The skin has an aesthetic crunch and isn't soggy on the plain but the sauce does make the skin on the honey garlic chickens a bit soggy. I ordered a whole chicken and the chicken breasts were quite dry but the drums were perfect and juice was spilling out when I took a bite. I would give the place a 5 if it weren't for the dryness of the chicken and sogginess. Overall the chicken is extremely good compared to other chicken joints and I would still give this place a try.“

Crispy fries, my wife had the spicy monster chicken sandwich, and she said it was amazing. “Ordered via UberEats for a Wednesday pick-up at around 8 pm. There was a BOGO free special on boneless wings on UberEats, so we did a BOGO of the spicy soy garlic and the sweet and spicy. I thought a small order would only have 8 pieces, like wings normally would but it was massive. So essentially, our order was the equivalent of four small orders for two people but it was SO much chicken. We ordered way too much because I underestimated how big one order would be (but I’m not complaining)! We had leftovers for days so needless to say, I was sick of Korean fried chicken by the end of it. I really liked the spicy soy garlic but didn’t love the sweet and spicy. It’s really heavy on the honey, if you’re into that. The chicken comes with a side of pickled daikon cubes.

Next time, I’d like to see what the cheese snowing chicken is all about. Plus they’re other non-fried chicken dishes look pretty good and are reasonably priced as well.

After visiting this location for a few more times, I can give a more accurate review. Initial review was during the first week this place opened up.

The burger is not bad, has all the classics ingredients for a regular burger but for me too little meat. For a better meaty burger I recommend getting two patties. The single patty burgers leaves me feeling unsatisfied.

The fries from the last few times I orders has been bad. They are shoestring cut fries and it seems like they fry a bunch ahead of time and keep them to the side until needed. Some of them are hard as a pretzel and others limp.

Unfortunately the wings seem like they suffer the same fate, but with less flavor. It’s not common to get un-breaded halal wings in the Bronx (most of them are the tiny breaded ones from your local halal deli), but they are missing some marinade or something to bring it alive, besides drenching it with sauce.

The crispy chicken sandwich was very oily, and definitely double fried. Which means it was half fried before and left to the side until a customer orders one and they re-fry them. This makes the chicken rubbery and the breading dark brown and oily. I rather wait a few more minutes for a made to order chicken sandwich.

Being raised in the neighborhood, I was excited to have this place open up and wanted to make it regular place I go, to get my fix, but they have to work on some quality control before they have me be a regular. I really hope they listen to the customers concerns and revamp their process in the kitchen. I really want to see local halal businesses like this one succeed but the food has to be up to par.

The workers there are very friendly and the atmosphere is your nicely decorated burger joint.

“I almost never write reviews, but I felt compelled to after meeting James, the new owner of this Korean fried chicken spot. James is a sweet older gentleman who genuinely asked me for feedback. You can tell he truly cares about the food and his customers who order from the store.

The crispy boneless chicken is my go-to with the sweet and spicy and soy chili garlic sauces, which are both full of flavor and go really well with the pickled radish.

It’s also super convenient.. place your order, do your grocery shopping, and by the time you’re done, your chicken is hot and ready to go. It’s become an easy and reliable part of my routine.

I’ve also ordered for Super Bowl Sunday and casual takeout nights and it never misses.

One quick note about the person taking your order at the counter.. they aren’t an employee of the business. They work for the supermarket and take orders for other food vendors inside. So if the service at the counter ever feels rushed or off, don’t let it reflect on this business. The owner and the food absolutely speak for themselves.
