I’ve been here many times, mostly out of convenience, and I’ve finally accepted what this place truly offers: food so aggressively mediocre it feels like an insult to seasoning itself. Nothing is terrible, nothing is good—just a parade of “this sure is food.” If your goal is to spend money without experiencing flavor, congratulations, you’ve found your spot.
The atmosphere feels like a failed audition for a prohibition-era speakeasy. It’s dark, moody, and vaguely depressing, as if the lighting was designed to distract you from both the food and your expectations. Not exactly shabby—just soulless.
But let’s not pretend anyone comes here for ambiance or food. The real showstopper—the kind you tell people about—is the service.
⚠️ DO NOT COME HERE IF THEY ARE BUSY. EVER. ⚠️
Unless you enjoy watching a live demonstration of how to run a waitlist with absolute confidence and zero competence.
I’ve worked in the service industry. I understand rushes. I understand delays. What I witnessed here was not “busy”—it was organizational free fall.
We arrived as a party of six and were quoted a 15-minute wait. This later transformed—without warning, explanation, or shame—into a 2-hour wait. When we politely asked for an update, we were first ignored, then brushed off, as if questioning a wildly inaccurate estimate was a personal offense.
And then, the executioner’s final swing:
They seated two people at a six-person table while smaller tables were open or actively being cleaned. Yes. Read that again. This forced our larger party to wait even longer for another large table to open—because nothing says “efficient seating” like deliberately creating your own problem.
It was honestly impressive. Like watching someone spill a drink and then knock over the table to fix it.
If you enjoy mediocre food, dungeon lighting, and front-row seats to managerial malpractice, this place is consistent. Otherwise, eat literally anywhere else. Cook at home. Grab fast food. Sit in your car and chew ice. All are better uses of your time than trusting this restaurant with basic math and common sense.

Korean BBQ restaurant at Closter neighborhood. Inside more spacious than I thought. Great service at Saturday night. We had a big party (12ppl) with no reservation. The host arranged 2 tables for us quickly.
We got the combo A (4-5people): 4 beef/steak + 1 pork shoulder. Meat quality is good. The staff cooked it for us. I wish they have a better vent system. The smoke kinda just floated around. Small dishes are provided, such as kimchi.
Nice decoration inside. Bathroom is clean. The staff are friendly. A good spot for Korean BBQ.

I called ahead to make sure it was not busy on Sunday afternoon at 3pm I arrived the place was almost empty. The host sat me down and gave me 2 menus. At 3:35 I was trying to get someone's attention but no one made eye contact with me. Given that I was the only black person in there made me suspicious of why I was being treated like I was invisible. People came in and were served before me. Still I sat there. Finally, I called out to the server and told her I was ready to order, she said ok and walked away. It was 3:39.
At 3:41 a server walked past me and I called her, she looked right at me and walked away. I'm a loval resident of the town and was made to feel so small. It was humiliation. I have money and it's not like I was not presentable, I just left church so I was looking cute... all I got was a cold shower, they are not hiding their prejudice at so good in closter. Enjoy your meal there if you not black.. if you are, don't go there... finally at 4: 00 pm I took my way out of there feeling very bad.

The first time I came I had a delicious meal and received really great service. However, I came in today and ordered the pork belly and the so good kalbi. The kalbi was fine. But the pork belly was frozen when it hit the grill and so the meat was tough to eat and not enjoyable. It’s not supposed to be frozen when it comes to the table. It was really disappointing. I hope that they can improve their service to ensure that the meat is properly prepared for guests to eat and enjoy.

Nice and clean, we had a big group of ppl and the staff was cooking for us. Didn't really enjoy the veggie bibinbap because the veggies were getting burnt by the hot plate. Otherwise delicious meats.
